00:00Jada, gaano kahira maging star ngayon and how difficult was it or easy was it to be a star during that time?
00:14That's a very good question.
00:16You're asking Jada first.
00:17Yeah, Jada go ahead.
00:18I would say that it's, you know, there are pros and cons with that right now.
00:22I've been talking about this quite a bit with like several people and it's just that the turnover time in the music industry now
00:29is very fast, Tita Boy.
00:31And, you know, now the ever-changing trends.
00:34Kung ano man yung sikat nitong week na to, baka iba na yun by next week.
00:38And there's that kind of constant fight for relevance and things like that.
00:45And I guess in terms of trying to get people's attention.
00:49Pero para po sa akin, I like to look at that challenge and play with the hand that I'm dealt with and with the resources.
00:56At kailangan habol ka ng habol, no?
00:58Kailangan handa ka.
00:59Kailangan handa ka po kahit anong mga kung ano man yung, well, to a certain extent, iisipin nyo din po, Tita Boy, yung market po.
01:08But at the end of the day, I believe in sticking to your guns and what's authentic to you.
01:20Now more than ever.
01:21I feel like now, even from me putting out content, the more raw it feels, the more personal it feels,
01:27the more people connect to it.
01:28I love your last MTV.
01:30Thank you so much.
01:31At one of your strong points, e nakakapagsulat ka ng kanta.
01:36Nakakakanta ka.
01:37You're pretty.
01:38You have mom.
01:39You have dad.
01:40Diba?
01:41I mean, all of the above ay nakakatulong kung sino ka man ngayon.
01:45Oh boy.
01:46I definitely believe that.
01:47Who is your biggest?
01:48I know we competed ourselves.
01:50You competed yourself.
01:51But para sa'yo, Jada, who is your biggest competitor?
01:57You know, it's a tough question to answer that, to nail it down to one person.
02:02But top of mind, names.
02:03Who are they?
02:04Honestly, I can't think of in terms of names because para po sa'kin, Tita Boy, I am constantly competing with myself.
02:12Okay, I understand that.
02:13I really say that and I say that in a non-showbiz way because I'm always with the mindset that you're as good as your last project.
02:21So you have to constantly be better.
02:36Wow.
02:37Actually, that's a good point that she said.
02:40You know, ako sa'kin, boy, yung sinasabi niya, yung biggest competitor niya, it's good she mentioned about herself, no?
02:46But honestly, whoever is out there, I think indirectly, everybody's competing.
02:52Of course.
02:54Like during your time, who was your biggest competitor?
02:56Ako, like I said, hindi ko rin ma-pinpoint.
02:59Pero sino yung matabats during that time?
03:02Well, andyan sila Jano, sila Ogie, si Ariel.
03:06And then it came in waves.
03:08It started with Randy and after Randy, me.
03:12And then after me, then Ogie came in, then Jano, then Ariel.
03:16Yung ganun yan, sunod-sunod.
03:17So, indirectly, I think, boy, we were all competing.
03:20Pero we managed to, it was a friendly competition.
03:23And we just had to improve our craft.
03:26Constantly try to find ways how to be endearing to the public.
03:39Wow.
03:41Galing nila kasi lahat din.
03:43Kanya-kanya namang style.
03:46Okay, nung panahon mo, panahon natin, because I was there during your time,
03:51was it easier?
03:52I mean, in the context of how Jada is doing it today?
03:56Like what Jada said, today, it's a different time.
04:00Ang bilis ng turnover.
04:01Correct.
04:02Madaling sumikat, but to stay in that level or longevity, yun ang mahirap ngayon.
04:16There's only TV, radyo, or mixers.
04:19So, when you go through that, mas madali in that sense.
04:36And that's always the case.
04:37Sometimes may 20 million na itong tao na ito, pero sino yan?
04:42Mahirap also, in a way, during that time.
04:45Because if you didn't make it, ang hirap makabalik.
04:48As opposed to today, if you miss it, you can try again.
05:11Thank you for watching!
