The new Ofgem price cap has taken effect, reducing bills by around 7% for the average customer. How will this reduction impact your household finances, and do you believe it is sufficient to help those who are struggling with their energy bills?

00:00Some people might argue that it's not enough. However, I feel it's little steps towards a bigger target that targets this price cap.
00:08So I think it's a positive approach.
00:11I haven't actually been as badly affected by the energy prices as most because I was on a very low fixed rate deal, which was very lucky.
00:21But that won't go on forever. So any drop is good.
00:24I think the energy cap is good, but I think surely we could do more, have more support and the cap even lower and lower.
00:31Because I personally know a lot of people have a struggle with energy prices, they can't afford it.
00:36It does seem to ease quite a lot. We are relatively economical with our use anyway.
00:41So I haven't necessarily noticed it falling in particular, but it hasn't been, it obviously hasn't seemed as sharp lately.
00:50It's definitely noticeably come down, isn't it? It's stabilised or reduced.
00:55And it's obviously easing with the easing of the inflation generally.
