00:00Hi, I'm Andrew Trundle, you're watching NME, and we're here at Glastonbury 2024 with The
00:11National.
00:12How are you doing, guys?
00:13Doing great, thanks for having us.
00:14What's the first thing you guys are going to do after the set tonight?
00:17I got a link to the Newfountains DC Records, have you heard it?
00:20Let's not talk about them right now.
00:22Yeah, so I'm going to go listen to that I think afterwards, and we spent a bunch of
00:27time with them and Idles and Ed Sheeran, we were all together.
00:30It was Ed, Idles, Fountains, and us, all backstage on buses, Ed's dad was there sleeping on the
00:38buses, it was like a caravan, and two or three nights in a row, two nights in a row in Germany,
00:44and we were all watching football and talking about, you know, travel and guilt and Jesuit
00:53backgrounds and all kinds of stuff.
00:56But yeah, so that was really fun, and we all watched each other's shows, and that was like
01:01kind of the best two-day festival run I've ever had.
01:04I was so inspired by everybody, and that was the first time I'd ever seen Ed Sheeran live,
01:11and Aaron knows him very well, so I was blown away by Ed Sheeran, and yeah, it was incredible.
01:18We're enjoying watching bands, we're enjoying being a band, it's all good.
01:22Super group with those guys?
01:24Yes.
01:25No, we did, we started one, it was, yeah, it's the guys with the pink hair from each
01:33band, and it's all the strawberry blondes, so it's Joe, Curly, Ed, and me, we're called
01:40the Strawberry Blondes.
01:41I would watch that.
01:42That would kind of be good, because Ed could play everything, you know, and Joe and I wouldn't
01:46have to do much at all, that'd be great.
01:50I would be the best of that band, yeah.
01:54Yeah, Curly and Ed would make the records, and Joe and I would dance.
