00:00Another quick tip, this is about thinking about hair color for characters.
00:05So I don't like using anime hair colors, you know, pink, blue, green,
00:10unless maybe it's like a fantasy anime universe.
00:12I like using realistic colors, but these are pretty subtle and hard to capture.
00:17So one example is blonde hair is almost never bright yellow blonde.
00:21I'm starting with bright yellow blonde hair.
00:24So one trick I have is to pick a character who has the most intense hair color.
00:29So this little character here, Joe, he is as golden blonde as it is possible to be in this universe.
00:35And so if another blonde character comes in, I think of them as having more reddish hair than this guy
00:41or more dingy, dirty blonde hair than this guy.
00:45I kind of call this Calvin here. Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes has very bright yellow.
00:49Now this is still way too bright yellow, so I'm going to come in and soften it a little bit.
00:52But it's good to have kind of like a mental roadmap in your head of, you know,
00:56who has the most raven black hair or who has the brightest ginger red hair
01:02and then alter other characters to be slightly variant from that,
01:06slightly more redheaded, slightly darker hair color.
