00:00Welcome to MissMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the best wedding songs
00:07to add a little LOL to all of the L-O-V-E.
00:1010.
00:16Will You Love Me Tomorrow – The Shirelles
00:18So you've just spoken your vows and declared your love for each other in front of all of
00:22your loved ones, and while it might be true that love fades and people change, we'd like
00:32to think it would take more than 24 hours post-wedding for that to happen.
00:44That makes Will You Love Me Tomorrow by The Shirelles a great song to add some ironic
00:49laughter to the festivities.
00:50Whether it's your entrance song or your first dance, this one might shock people at first,
00:55but once they get the joke, it will be some good LOL-ing times.
01:019.
01:05Don'tcha – The Pussycat Dolls Featuring Busta Rhymes
01:09Unless it's some kind of throuple wedding, or one of those gotcha YouTube videos, the
01:13one topic of conversation no one expects at a wedding is talk of the husband's girlfriend.
01:18Which has to put The Pussycat Dolls' 2005 hit track, Don'tcha, on our list.
01:30As a first dance, or if the bride and her bridesmaids do a dance, Don'tcha is a good
01:34funny choice.
01:38However, may we recommend using it as your walk-down-the-aisle song for maximum impact
01:46as the dolls ask, don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?
01:50And technically, until they say, I do, she's still his girlfriend.
01:53So really, his girlfriend is hot like her.
01:56Because she is her.

02:03Grow Old With You – Adam Sandler When it comes to funny wedding songs, they
02:06don't always have to get their laughs from ironic lyrics.
02:09Grow Old With You is a perfect example of that.
02:20Using the climactic win-back-the-girl scene in 1998's The Wedding Singer, Adam Sandler's
02:25sweet, funny, heartfelt song had most of the audience swooning, probably just as much as
02:30Drew Barrymore did.
02:40So why not break this one out as a first dance?
02:43Or even better, if one of you can play the guitar and sing, perform it live to your new
02:46life partner and watch the guests laugh and swoon around you.
02:547.
02:59Call Me Maybe – Carly Rae Jepsen Playing this song at a just-met, got-drunk,
03:03got-married-in-Vegas wedding would be more cringe than funny.
03:07However, playing this at a wedding of a long-time couple tying the knot, well, that's some cute
03:11stuff right there.
03:18Now it would be a bold comedic choice to use this song as the bride's walk-down-the-aisle
03:22music, but we're thinking that the first dance is the perfect place to break this one out
03:27and get some laughs from the guests, as Carly Rae Jepsen sings,
03:36although we're also totally down with the Call Me Maybe wedding party flash mob also.
03:456.
03:50Love Stinks – The J. Giles Band Peter Wolfe, the singer of the J. Giles Band,
03:54was married to actress Faye Dunaway for five years in the 1970s.
04:04In 1979, he co-wrote the song, Love Stinks, about unrequited love gone bad.
04:09Was he writing from a place of pain following his divorce?
04:12We don't know for sure, but what we do know is that such a song isn't generally considered
04:17ideal wedding day music.
04:26In The Wedding Singer, the song even got Adam Sandler punched in the face.
04:30But if done properly, with the right amount of tongue-in-cheekness, using Love Stinks
04:34as your introduce to the newlywed song could be downright hysterical.
04:445.
04:49Another One Bites The Dust – Queen While this one is pretty good as an entrance
04:53song, we think Another One Bites The Dust works even better if used as the recessional
04:58music.
05:03As our favorite Golden Girl, Sophia, would say,
05:06"...you and the love of your life have just made it official with the I Do's and sealed
05:10the deal with a kiss."
05:17Now as you head off back down the aisle as a freshly married couple, the music announces
05:22to the world that Another One, actually two, have bitten the dust and turned their backs
05:27on singlehood.
05:28If the guests aren't laughing, then you invited the wrong people.
05:344.
05:37Highway To Hell – ACDC There are those who, after some unhappy years
05:42and a contentious divorce, might refer to their marriage as hell.
05:48But that sure ain't the attitude most people go into it with, especially on their wedding
05:57day.
05:58And that's exactly why this classic ACDC song is a perfect one to surprise people and
06:02get a few laughs out of the crowd.
06:12Use it as your recessional tune, your entrance song, or maybe best used as your exit music
06:17as you get into the car to drive off into marriage bliss.
06:21Highway To Hell will add some hard rockin', guitar riffing, tongue-in-cheek good times
06:26to your special day.
06:313.
06:37Wannabe – Spice Girls Busting out a first dance to a song with lyrics
06:40that demand, "'If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends," might seem
06:44like an odd choice for the occasion.
06:53To us, though, it shows that you have a sense of humor and a nostalgia for the 90s that
06:57we definitely appreciate.
06:59We've all seen the videos of women catching their fiancé sleeping with their best friend
07:03on their wedding day.
07:04And while that isn't funny at all, playing wannabe at your wedding, now, that's something
07:09we want.
07:10Something we really, really want.
07:18We also really wanna zig-a-zig-ah, but that's for a different list.
07:242.
07:27Stuck In The Middle With You – Stealer's Wheel
07:29Jerry Rafferty and Joe Egan of Stealer's Wheel wrote Stuck In The Middle With You as
07:34a disparaging account of a music industry party.
07:44The clowns and jokers are references to music executives and various sleazy industry folk.
07:50Now, of course, we all love our friends and family, and couldn't imagine our wedding day
07:53without all of them there, but that doesn't mean we don't all have a few clowns and jokers
07:57on our guest lists that can laugh at themselves and would be fun to point out in a loving
08:10way.
08:11So why not just do the Michael Madsen dance from Reservoir Dogs, and surely get some cheers
08:15from the crowd?
08:16But maybe skip the cutting off someone's ear part, okay?
08:421.
08:4350 Ways To Leave Your Lover – Paul Simon
08:45While a roadmap on various ways to get away from your lover isn't normal wedding day fare,
08:50when it's wrapped up in this catchy beat and fun rhymes, it's sure to get some giggles.
09:02Throwing it on your recessional takes some courage, given that you've literally just
09:06finalized the marriage, but that could also be your best opportunity for some laughs,
09:10and even more so if the groom's name happens to be Jack, or Stan, or Roy, or Lee.
09:22If the new husband's name is Gus, and you're able to time it so that as the song plays,
09:26he breaks free and hops on a bus, well, talk about comedic perfection.
09:35Would you consider any of these songs to add some LOL to your day of LOVE?
