00:00Today, I have made an official visit to several E&E factories and semiconductors in Penang.
00:09The facilities that I visited are Motorola Solutions, Airbot Medical Devices, Petamaster and UWC.
00:19As you know, the E&E sector is one of the sectors that is under development.
00:23It is under our new National Industrial Master Plan and National Semiconductor Strategy.
00:29Penang is known as a hub for national semiconductors.
00:37Thank God, we know how and how far the companies in Penang,
00:43especially our local companies, have succeeded in the E&E and semiconductor sector.
00:49The companies are also active, especially in terms of talent.
00:55They focus on our Tivet students and focus on STEM.
01:02In terms of talent, there is a lot of opportunity in the E&E and semiconductor sector.
01:13This is important because we want to boost the Malaysian manufacturing sector.
01:17We need good talent pipelines.
01:21It is the responsibility of the entire country to cultivate talent.
01:25We need to raise awareness about how many jobs there are in the high-tech sector,
01:32such as the E&E and semiconductor sectors.
01:34However, as in the National Industrial Semiconductor Strategy,
01:39it is based on technology and talent to attract high-quality investment to our country.
