00:00The government's vision for the country's economy is unfulfilled.

00:04That's why the Labor Department has created a master plan to solve the problem of unemployment and job mismatch in the Philippines.

00:17President Bongbong Marcos is set to give 3 million jobs to Filipinos before his term ends in 2028.

00:27To achieve this, the Department of Labor and Employment, or DOLE, has created a 10-year National Employment Master Plan for the country, or TPB.

00:37The Department of Trade and Industry and NEDA are involved in this.

00:41In the TPB, it is expected that the problem of unemployment and job mismatch will be solved.

00:53The plan seeks to address the high cost of training and competency enhancement programs,

00:59and equal access to quality education and training opportunities.

01:03A job applicant must also be employable or acceptable to work.

01:09That's why in his studies, he will teach the Filipinos the skills that are in-demand and will become in-demand.

01:18In Taiwan, Filipino factory workers in semiconductor companies are no longer in-demand.

01:24This includes teachers and commercial plane pilots, according to the Manila Economic and Cultural Office, or MECO.

01:32At present, 20 Filipino pilots are working in Taiwan.

01:38This year, maybe a little bit higher, maybe 40 pilots.

01:42That's because of the increasing travel demand also.

01:46The direction of the tourism industry is really high.

01:52Because pilots are considered a critical profession, the Philippines also needs them for domestic airlines and flights.

02:00The Philippines is careful in deploying Filipino pilots in Taiwan.

02:05Most applications go through the direct hiring process through the G2G or government-to-government process.

02:13They can directly apply to airline companies.

02:16But first, check with the Department of Migrant Workers if the job orders are approved,

02:22so that illegal recruiters will not be victimized.

02:25Filipino aviation engineers and IT engineers also need Taiwan.
