00:00Previously on Deb's House.
00:10I need a blank canvas.
00:12Strip down, take makeup, take hair off.
00:15Even though I was told that it would not work,
00:17that women would not do this, it did work.
00:20Who's hot?
00:22I'm back. It's hot chalk.
00:24So me and Rocky, we two Philly bitches.
00:27Your hair now don't fumble again.
00:29You fucked up the first time.
00:30You can't fuck with me in the street.
00:32When we get home, I'm picking you.
00:36Being a overweight rapper in this industry is very hard.
00:40Deja care about what other people think.
00:44Don't give a fuck, we can even it out.
00:46I've been popping shit, man. These bitches already know.
00:49I'm the biggest. I'm one of them.
00:52We about to make history.
00:54Came up from the bottom,
00:58forgotten where no one noticed you.
01:00We made it out the mud, it was destined.
01:02We the chosen few, like a rose from the pavement.
01:04We were counted out.
01:06We grew up stronger from the struggle, never down and out.
01:08They used to pick us out of line-up, now they lighten up the seas.
01:11Used to fear us, but now they wanna be us.
01:13I'm on top now, I'm never coming down.
01:15I won't stop till I leave with the crown.
01:17This is Deb's House.
01:24Last night was so cute.
01:25It was, I had fun.
01:27Last night was super fun.
01:29We just kumbaya, we just bonded,
01:31and I can't wait to see what the day holds.
01:37Look at y'all, Rasheeda and Deja helping each other out.
01:40It's a real name to me.
01:42It's a real name to me.
01:44Let me tell you something, when Miss Deb was like,
01:46we not calling you by your stage names no more,
01:48you gotta earn that stage name.
01:50Girl, what you think you gotta earn?
01:52Every time we name ourselves, I chose my own name.
01:54Rocky, my nickname.
01:55Okay.
01:56So I had it since a baby.
01:57That's what make me different than bitches.
01:59I ain't had to come up with a rap name.
02:01I ain't had to come up with no type of image, no nothing.
02:03What you see is what you get.
02:05My name was Tank, but growing up, I was a bigger kid,
02:07so my mama like, hell no,
02:09because people know I'm about to be at school,
02:11making fun of my baby, calling me Tank.
02:13Her name was Deja, so we gonna put a D in front of it.
02:15So it was like, Dank.
02:16To the people that judges me before they get to know who I am
02:20or experience my abilities or my talent,
02:23fuck y'all.
02:25My daddy like, do you know what the fuck Dank mean?
02:28She like, I don't care, so we stuck with it.
02:30Hey boo, good morning.
02:32But yeah, I'm real big on my name
02:34because I feel like as an independent artist,
02:36I'm out here really just me and my team moving around.
02:39I feel like all I have is my name.
02:41Do y'all know what y'all names mean?
02:42My name is Rashida, I'm Muslim, and it mean wise and mature.
02:45Oh.
02:46Y'all think I live up to my name?
02:49We're working on it.
02:51We gon' work on it.
02:53But I'm petty.
02:54It comes out sometimes,
02:56but I feel like you working on controlling it.
02:58I feel like you've been growing here.
03:00I just feel like I want to apologize.
03:03I just feel like you was hurt,
03:05and we was supposed to be having a conversation,
03:07but it just came off like...
03:09It was like we had to bump heads to fucking get through it
03:11to get to this moment, so it's like...
03:13And then we from the same city, we ain't supposed to be on it.
03:16I feel like I hurt Chock feelings.
03:19You know, we from the same city.
03:22She always gave me my love and my respect,
03:24and we just didn't understand each other.
03:26I feel like, you know, me getting in this house,
03:29I got to really know exactly who you were,
03:32and, like, I really do fuck with you, like,
03:35on some sister-type shit, so that's what it really was,
03:37like you see, like, fight like sisters, you feel me?
03:40We pretty much made up.
03:41We making the city look bad.
03:43We better than that.
03:45We need high vibrations only.
03:47Ooh, bring it in!
03:49What do y'all think we got going on today?
03:51I don't know, something productive,
03:53something that's probably gonna make us sweat.
03:55It's still 8 of us. It's giving 4 and 4.
03:57Figure it out. You got teammates.
03:59Y'all says other reality TV shows,
04:01there's other casts, there's other things,
04:03but it ain't Deb's house.
04:05It ain't a whole bunch of women rappers.
04:07It's different, so we just got to move forward
04:09and do what we came here to do.
04:11I am hungry. Tell everybody let's eat breakfast.
04:13We gonna eat breakfast together.
04:15Ain't got no time, getting to the money,
04:17I done lost my mind, dripping like water off the rip.
04:19Brand new chips with the dip, new wrist with the whip.
04:22I just got a text from Miss Deb.
04:25What she say?
04:27She said, hi, Malakia.
04:29Hi, Deja.
04:31Hi, Islamia.
04:33Hi, Maria.
04:35Hi, Shanika.
04:37Hey, Camille, music is only a vessel.
04:39Now we work on if you know how to market yourself.
04:41New York City, okay.
04:43We going to the NYC.
04:45Wait, New York City, but market yourself?
04:47Yeah.
04:49If you know how to market yourself.
04:51I've been rapping since I was 14.
04:53I done been on tour with DaBaby,
04:55yeah, Rolling Loud.
04:57Got songs with Billboard artists.
04:59That's just a little bit.
05:01Nice fruit.
05:03Yo, we be starving.
05:05I just want everybody to eat, you know what I'm saying?
05:07I'm still tired.
05:09No fly outfit, no hair.
05:11It's just the music.
05:13You are a brand.
05:15You are the walking Billboard.
05:17That's not something that they teach you.
05:19You better know that the music is just a vessel
05:21to get you through.
05:23But there's other people that you have to become
05:25in order to make it.
05:27You need them brand deals.
05:29You probably gotta walk up to people like, hi, how are you?
05:31The fashion district of New York.
05:33I'm a rapper. Would you like to take my CD?
05:35Our energy is high.
05:37But now we work on
05:39if you know how to
05:41market yourself.
05:43So it's whether you do or you don't.
05:45You know what I'm saying?
05:47I think it might be something she's teaching.
05:49And that's what I'm saying.
05:51I feel like it's something for our artist growth.
05:53Remember when we was like, what's the challenge?
05:55What y'all think it's gonna be?
05:57It's not gonna be what we expect.
05:59It's so random.
06:01I like marketing. I mean, it's a part of artistry.
06:03So I'm up for the challenge.
06:05I'm gonna do a Times Square.
06:07I'm about to be Times Square in the middle.
06:09And we're gonna perform.
06:11You're welcome.
06:13I love that.
06:15I'm hype.
06:17And I'm really hype because
06:19I'm fully aware that your brand
06:21is everything.
06:23We're not selling music. We're selling people.
06:25New York City in the challenge.
06:27New York!
06:31Y'all ready, ladies?
06:33New York!
06:35First time in New York.
06:37I don't know what to expect.
06:39The whole theme I've been learning in all of these challenges
06:41is really to expect the unexpected.
06:43We're just excited to be getting out of the house.
06:45So the fact that we get some fresh air
06:47and we get to go to the city with it,
06:49we are super geeked.
06:51We about to go to New York.
06:53New York City and hip-hop is literally like ice cream and cake.
06:55It goes together.
06:57What you want to see in New York?
06:59I want to see the Rats.
07:01Everybody tells me that the Rats
07:03are, like, big, fat, and chunky.
07:05That shit ain't no joke.
07:07So I just don't know. I'm like, okay, is it this big
07:09or is it this big?
07:11When I read fashion district,
07:13what popped in my head was
07:15Project Runaway.
07:17See, if I brought my sewing machine, we would have been good.
07:19Like, this the hat.
07:21You know how to sew, Drake?
07:23I used to watch my grandma knit,
07:25and my aunts used to knit and stuff like that.
07:27So I taught myself how to sew
07:29and sometimes there are clothes that I want to wear
07:31that I can't fit,
07:33so I end up making them myself.
07:35If I see something that I like that I can't fit,
07:37I make it myself.
07:39That's what's up.
07:41I seen Dank Cheese very into fashion,
07:43and I'm like, I don't know shit about fashion.
07:45For real.
07:55Oh, my God.
07:57With my girls, we finally get a chance
07:59to go to New York. We have a challenge.
08:01Let's get to it. Like, let's get to work.
08:03That's what I'm here for.
08:09My babies are here.
08:11Yay.
08:13This is exciting. So here's another challenge.
08:17Fashion plays a major role
08:19in hip-hop.
08:21Helps you become creative also.
08:23You see, your music is not the only thing
08:25that can get you some ching-ching,
08:27as y'all want to say it.
08:29But you got to remember that you are a brand.
08:31The one thing that's super important
08:33is building that brand.
08:35So what better way to teach you
08:37is by you designing something else.
08:39I would like to introduce my friends.
08:41Are y'all familiar with Willie Esco?
08:47Willie Esco is a Latin brand.
08:49You may know of Machiavelli brand.
08:51It was just Tupac's brand.
08:53I'm talking about since, like, the late 90s.
08:55He just collaborated with
08:57Coogie. He came out
08:59with JaClar.
09:01Hip-hop fashion history. He done did stuff with
09:03Supreme.
09:05He would always send me clothes, no matter when I asked
09:07Willie for anything or any type of help.
09:09Willie was also there.
09:11Him, Daymond John.
09:13Like, these people were always there.
09:15And he opened up them doors for me immediately.
09:17That's real love.
09:19These days, you must develop
09:21all of your talents and all your skills.
09:23They will help you in your primary goals in life.
09:25Fashion's what I do. So I'm here to challenge
09:27you guys in what you're going to do
09:29creatively and designing a
09:31brand and developing other parts of your
09:33business. This is Neal.
09:35When I first started with Gucci,
09:37Nick, and all of them,
09:39Neal slept on the floor.
09:41But he was determined to help me
09:43to build this stuff through.
09:45So fast forward now, Wocka's
09:47my business partner on a company that we have.
09:49So what's happening now, it's not about branding,
09:51it's about rebranding. You're not going to
09:53get rich on the sell, you're going to get rich on your resell.
09:55Right? So you always got to know how to
09:57keep rebranding yourself, recreating
09:59yourself. And we're going to break you up
10:01in teams, in fours.
10:03Where's my teams at?
10:05Y'all know I make the clothes.
10:07Y'all got four machines.
10:09Come on, Dane.
10:11So this is broken into two
10:13teams that the girls
10:15picked. First team is
10:17Camille, Hot Choc,
10:19Electra, and Izzy.
10:21The second team, Rocky,
10:23Dane, Honey B, Big Molly.
10:25You got the two groups here?
10:27My initial intent was to be paired
10:29with obviously my roommate, Honey B,
10:31my girl Rocky, but
10:33they had already pulled Big Dane.
10:35But the thing about it, which they didn't know,
10:37is you need me on
10:39your team to win, period.
10:41We have two brands I recently purchased.
10:43Davucci, leather company goods.
10:45You might have seen Rihanna wear some of the product.
10:47And my other brand is called
10:49Jacquard, from the 70s.
10:51Footwear brand that was well-known
10:53and we're reviving slowly
10:55but surely, but I need 21st
10:57century designers on it.
10:59Can we do it? We can do it.
11:01Today, you need
11:03to have brands look at you and
11:05love you and want to work with you.
11:07You need to have that good attitude.
11:09You need to have that workmanship that's there.
11:11You got to make people
11:13want to deal with you.
11:15And that's what they don't understand.
11:17But they're going to learn today.
11:19This is a game that somewhere along
11:21the line, you could change
11:23the world. You could change
11:25the way people dress.
11:27Changing the narrative of how we're
11:29walking around here today.
11:31One will be working on footwear.
11:33One will be designing
11:35the leather coats.
11:37Let's let the games begin.
11:39Yay! Let's get it.
11:41We are assigned
11:43the shoe design. How are we going to sell this shoe?
11:45Let's go. We're going to design
11:47some footwear. Get into it,
11:49Willie. Come on in.
11:51The big Esko. This is how I
11:53started. Okay. With paper
11:55and pencil. Okay.
11:59Y'all ready?
12:01Let's do a turtleneck jacket.
12:03With leather and fur.
12:05We have to design a jacket.
12:07And we're excited because fashion,
12:09I feel like, is my thing.
12:11I love looking at nice things, X, Y, Z.
12:13And in my head, I
12:15feel like we're going to do good.
12:17Yeah. I don't know how to draw though.
12:19I can draw.
12:23Lord, they pulled in because she said she is
12:25a, what you call it? Yeah, I think so.
12:27She be sewing and shit.
12:29We got the challenge where we have to create
12:31and design a shoe. Who can sketch though?
12:33Oh, I can a little bit.
12:35Let's comparatively do a quick jacket right quick.
12:37It seems like you can know how to sketch better than me.
12:39We all trying to figure out what's happening,
12:41what we doing. Why? You've never seen me sketch before.
12:43We're going to start with arguing.
12:45Come on now, stop playing.
12:47You might drag me.
13:01It seems like you can know
13:03how to sketch better than me. Why? You've never seen me sketch
13:05before. I gotta, I, listen.
13:07No, just try, like this is a challenge.
13:09You might drag me.
13:11I can already tell that Camille was going to take
13:13charge. Listen, listen y'all.
13:15The shoe needs to be functional for people
13:17who maybe have arthritis in their hands.
13:19She's, I don't want to say
13:21control freak, but somewhat of that nature.
13:23Yeah, you're definitely going to end up drawing it.
13:25I'm not really a control freak.
13:27I'm a teacher. And I enjoy being a leader.
13:29I've done marketing for a business.
13:31Let's get into it.
13:33Everybody can't tie their shoes.
13:35We might need a zipper. I'm not even thinking
13:37like that, you know, because at the end of the day, it's our
13:39design. It's whatever we, the demographic
13:41we want to wear to have it.
13:43Working as a team with Shamika,
13:45Islamia, and Elektra,
13:47it is definitely a challenge for
13:49me to be very frank. We can make this whatever
13:51we want. We can make them inside out then.
13:53That's what I'm saying. Like, we don't gotta do what nobody else
13:55doing. It's our shit. I feel like we're almost
13:57slightly butting heads. A little
13:59small compartment. It could be a change
14:01pocket. What I'm feeling, I'm kind of feeling
14:03like, bro,
14:05y'all not hearing me right now.
14:07You lose the back of your earring, you can tuck it in
14:09your shoe or something.
14:11I don't know
14:13how to draw.
14:15But I got
14:17the plan. You guys are going to do a design
14:19right for Davucci. So what I want you guys
14:21to do is put your personality into it.
14:23Okay, we're going to create this jacket
14:25collection for Davucci. We're going to kill
14:27it. First of all, what do y'all like?
14:29I feel like they missing the leather crop
14:31top. Leather crop top bomber.
14:33But like, the sleeves that hang.
14:35Like the stack sleeves. Let's bring some dots
14:37in somewhere. Polka dots
14:39on the leather. I don't know. I don't think
14:41that's a good idea.
14:43Rocky, she's very into fashion.
14:45Ooh! Make the zipper
14:47a chain. She's being extremely
14:49passionate about it and she's just like,
14:51yo, we should do this, we should do this, we should do this.
14:53And I'm like, thank fucking God.
14:55The hood should be detachable.
14:57With leather and fur.
14:59I don't know shit about fashion, so
15:01bitch, I'm glad you here. For real.
15:03What if a microphone was painted on the back?
15:05Nah.
15:07Ladies,
15:09how we doing? We're doing.
15:11I brought my friend along. She's from Newark, just like
15:13I am. I'm from Newark.
15:15And she's a stylist. Very famous
15:17stylist. Tiffany Chiffon.
15:19She's a badass.
15:21Very popular stylist.
15:23She's going to help you with what we want to design.
15:25The way I'm doing this brand is I'm reviving
15:27the brand from the original piece
15:29and then we coming up with a 21st century
15:31version of that piece. I love this.
15:33This was from 1978.
15:35It's called the Aerobiana.
15:37Use this as your
15:39piece you're going to redesign.
15:41Is this the
15:43original shoe? That is the original shoe.
15:45That's over 40 years old. It's giving.
15:47Okay. We have this shoe,
15:49but ain't nobody gonna just buy the shoe just cause you
15:51made the shoe. You know how many shoe sellers there are?
15:53We gotta tell the people why.
15:55We need the five W's
15:57and we need the one H.
15:59We need the who, what, when,
16:01where, why, and how.
16:03So, you already know who coming up with that.
16:05I want you guys to learn this part
16:07of the business. Enjoy it while
16:09you're competing, of course.
16:11And Tiff's going to help you. Right, Tiff?
16:13Alright. Yay. Thank you.
16:15So let's see what you guys have done
16:17already. Okay.
16:19It's beautiful.
16:21So do y'all know who this is?
16:23My name is Bartholomew. I don't know if y'all
16:25watched The Hype, but I won season two.
16:27I cut and sew. I draw patterns.
16:29I taught myself all of this shit.
16:31Didn't go to school for it, so it's like
16:33I understand where you guys are in your journey
16:35cause that's where I was 10 years ago.
16:37You know what I'm saying? So, let's cook.
16:39Big O is like a seamstress,
16:41but it's his own brand
16:43and he got some fine shit. I'm excited
16:45because I'm like if he helping us
16:47there's no way we can't fail today.
16:49Brainstorming is not just about
16:51everybody screaming at the same time,
16:53but everybody coming up with ideas.
16:55So take your pen out, write down
16:57these ideas, and then y'all pitch
16:59them to each other in the next three minutes.
17:03So this is the source of your inspiration,
17:05right? And so before we
17:07conceptualize anything, right, we have
17:09to make sure we know where we're going
17:11with the idea, right? So the first
17:13thing first is to of course have
17:15inspiration and then develop your
17:17concepts.
17:19The one thing that's super important is
17:21building that brand. Even though they all
17:23think that they are a brand,
17:25but now you're going to learn
17:27how hard it is to build
17:29a brand. You need
17:31to have brands look at you and love
17:33you and want to work with you. You got
17:35to make people want to deal with you.
17:37You have to teach people how to
17:39treat you. Maybe we'll start with
17:41color board, color scheme, where
17:43do we see the color going? I wanted
17:45to go with the box was blue
17:47and red. That was my inspiration.
17:49So you kind of want to keep the old
17:51schoolness of the original box.
17:53And let me tell you, red, white, and blue
17:55is taking back. It's
17:57reverse gentrification, right? So we're
17:59all Americans. Yeah, give me,
18:01give me some.
18:03Are we going to stick with that?
18:05Tiffany is a very good mentor.
18:07We should all do one and then we should pull what we
18:09like from each other's shoes.
18:11She give us positive words of
18:13affirmation of what we should do
18:15and we take her advice
18:17and we just stack on top of that.
18:19Definitely just get your sketches together.
18:21The best of the best.
18:25What are we coming up with? Shall we make it?
18:27I'm in between like masculine
18:29and feminine because I like when
18:31like men are able
18:33to like put together a dope
18:35outfit with like
18:37masculinity and feminine.
18:39For my women's wear, it's usually just smaller
18:41versions of my men's wear.
18:43I came up with a trench coat.
18:45It should have zippers here
18:47where you can unzipper your sleeves.
18:49I get it. Yeah, you want to put zippers in
18:51different places, but like don't just put
18:53zippers for the sake of zippers.
18:55I say we should do like some leather,
18:57like some ripped leather pants.
18:59No, that's ridiculous to sew.
19:01I sew. Our coach.
19:03Everything we was doing, he was just
19:05shooting it down. No, no, no, no, no.
19:07Kind of killed our energy a little bit.
19:09This is Davucci with a D, right? Yeah.
19:11Did anybody even look up Davucci
19:13to see the type of shit that they make?
19:15I looked on the coat rack.
19:17The energy shifted just a tiny
19:19bit because Beagle
19:21just wanted to say it's a capsule
19:23collection. We're creating for
19:25sketches, you know, and I was just like,
19:27OK, he's here to help and
19:29you know, I'm not complaining. So we
19:31appreciate his time and
19:33what he did for us. No mistakes.
19:35Keep going.
19:37We only
19:39got like less than 10 minutes now, y'all, so let's
19:41figure out how we're going to explain everything to them.
19:43OK, I'm thinking home, Raven,
19:45Bird, Pope. What's the, um...
19:47I feel lavender. I feel free. I feel...
19:49I told you she's going to be the winner, wasn't it?
19:51Camille was coming up with
19:53the sell. Then we come to the back of the shoe.
19:55Boom. Camille could talk us out of getting
19:57locked up. I can guarantee you the fuck that.
19:59This is, you know, a little spice.
20:01Ten minutes. Let's go.
20:03Ten minutes. Let's go.
20:05We're all doing sketches.
20:07Come on. It was just like, OK, we gotta
20:09hurry up and do this, like, get this right.
20:11I don't know
20:13how I'm going to fix this.
20:25What I have right here is
20:27a leather hoodie and
20:29one sleeve is cut
20:31and then the other sleeve is just
20:33long so you would just have your arm out.
20:35Coming up with, like, this fire jacket and stuff like that,
20:37I'm like, do you like it?
20:39I've never seen a bomber jacket with fur
20:41so I added fur to the bomber jacket.
20:43I'm super excited about sketching
20:45this jacket out because
20:47this is right up my alley.
20:49What I have is the full leather
20:51bucket hat.
20:53Big Mally! That is not what's happening.
20:55Just to be, you know,
20:57different or whatever.
20:59Like, yo, what's going on? What's going on?
21:01We are here to make a jacket.
21:03That's a motherfucking bucket hat.
21:05What the fuck?
21:07So that's where I am so far.
21:11So what are we doing here?
21:13We trying to remix this Arrobbiana
21:15and make it fly, modern.
21:17And that's good.
21:19I didn't know you put an input in.
21:21Yeah.
21:23Because you was a sneaker freak.
21:25Our plan with the shoe is to think new.
21:27Futuristic but stylish
21:29but can go with any gender.
21:31One of the things that's really hot
21:33is that all designers
21:35grab from another designer.
21:37Right.
21:39But it's a piece that they grab.
21:41Or you could take all his brands
21:43and build it into one.
21:45Remember, it's not about
21:47what they created.
21:49It's about the unity, the togetherness.
21:51Being able to come together
21:53to have a synergy there
21:55between everybody.
21:57That's called T-E-A-M.
21:59Team. Come on, y'all.
22:01All right, we got it.
22:03Come on, let's get it together.
22:05Put some details on it.
22:07Get out them colors.
22:09You waiting to a perfectionist.
22:11How's it going?
22:13It's fine.
22:15It's a lot of blank pages.
22:17Come up with something different.
22:19Don't come up with something
22:21that you see everybody else with.
22:23Come up with your ideas.
22:25Y'all have to get with it.
22:27Remember,
22:29y'all got an opportunity to put
22:31your name on something
22:33and somebody's wearing you.
22:35You have to give them options.
22:37You can't say take this, it'll take nothing
22:39because now you just lost.
22:41One of the things that I want to see
22:43with these women is that they get along.
22:45In the industry now, I'm so tired
22:47of hearing all this beefing
22:49and fighting and arguing.
22:51And I also want you in a house
22:53and I want to bring y'all against each other.
22:55That's not what this is about.
22:57You're going to learn that today.
22:59Remember, we're entering your world now.
23:01Let's figure out stuff.
23:05Something from working out
23:07to going out.
23:09Pull up, show out.
23:11We pulling up and showing out.
23:13From working out to going out.
23:15Pulling up and showing out. Period.
23:17Working together as a team is new.
23:19We were told this was a competition
23:21between us, each other.
23:23But this is something new. I'm starting to like this.
23:25One, two, three.
23:27Good job, good job.
23:29You're about to run out of time in three,
23:31two...
23:33I'm just gonna...
23:35Think about the rest of the details.
23:37Maybe you can try to link it in the explanation.
23:39We were so focused on, you know,
23:41like sketching up all these ideas.
23:43We didn't really have our presentation ready.
23:45So Deb, Nas said it best.
23:47All you need is one mic.
23:49That's what the mic's all about.
23:51That's the safety mic.
23:53I'm gonna give this mic to somebody
23:55and they're safe from being eliminated.
23:57Wow.
23:59Let us see what y'all did. I'm excited.
24:01Welcome back, ladies.
24:03That's right. That's the energy we need.
24:05Yes.
24:07I am so ready to win it.
24:09Like...
24:11Today I'm going to have to do an elimination.
24:13Whoever's not a team player
24:15is the person that can't stay on.
24:17What did you guys design?
24:19We are out with the old and in with the new.
24:21This is the side of the shoe.
24:23We have jacquard right here
24:25in 3-D puff letters
24:27and the brown stitching
24:29going through the letters as well.
24:31Now with the lace,
24:33I want a chunky rope with pink lace.
24:35Okay.
24:37So we have the back of the sneaker here,
24:39which is reverse gentrification.
24:41Cool.
24:43Our slogan we made up is,
24:45Very good.
24:47We did a few different colorways, red and blue,
24:49just because that's a universal statement.
24:51You know, the land of the free.
24:53We all come from different backgrounds.
24:55We wanted it to be, like, everyone-friendly
24:57so every ethnicity could wear it.
24:59So this shoe is all-inclusive.
25:01It's free for all.
25:03It's for male, female, non-binary,
25:05differently-abled, and able-bodied people.
25:07It's in the office building.
25:09It's in the bricks.
25:11It's in the penthouse suite
25:13From working out to going out,
25:15we're pulling up and showing out.
25:17All right.
25:19The Ja'Clar Way.
25:21That is amazing.
25:23Oh, my God.
25:25Okay.
25:27I gotta say, that was amazing.
25:29Okay, so y'all learned
25:31a little secret about me, because I am a sucker.
25:33You know, the tears come out
25:35my eyes when I can see
25:37a group of women working together
25:39and they're not fighting and they're not cussing
25:41and they're not yelling,
25:43and they're not going through all that drama.
25:45This just makes you become the sucker,
25:47and the sucker that I am.
25:49And I love this.
25:51They did so good.
25:53That's a very good job,
25:55I think,
25:57while she collects herself.
25:59Let me go over some of the things
26:01you guys discussed.
26:03I'm really impressed with the mood board.
26:05This is the initial step
26:07in creating a great design.
26:09What I want to ask is,
26:11if this was a team effort,
26:13there's always one person
26:15on the team slacking.
26:19I want to know
26:21who was the best at it
26:23and who you guys feel,
26:25I'm not going to say the worst,
26:27but who could stand to improve?
26:33If I may speak for the group,
26:35with this particular shoe,
26:37we wanted to bring
26:39all of our thought processes together,
26:41so nobody from our team slacked.
26:43We feel like we all brought equal effort.
26:45I can't even talk.
26:47Oh my God,
26:49I'm so proud of them.
26:51Thank you.
26:53Y'all never cease to amaze me.
26:55When you think you got them,
26:57they're just there.
26:59They just have to learn.
27:01I'm truly impressed because,
27:03especially once you get into a position
27:05like PR and things
27:07to push your narrative,
27:09you guys have a clear direction.
27:11The only thing is that one thing is to design
27:13and the other thing is to execute.
27:15So go back to the room and we'll decide.
27:17Thank you.
27:19I'm feeling confident that our team
27:21is up and is stuck,
27:23so Team Saatchi.
27:251, 2, 3, Saatchi!
27:27Good job, Dem.
27:29You got a good crew.
27:31Oh God, this is so hard.
27:33They're making this hard.
27:35Okay, so now the next group.
27:41Hello, ladies.
27:43Hi.
27:45The other side set that bar so high.
27:47I need to know that you're marketable
27:49and you can take
27:51constructive criticism.
27:53Show me something different.
27:55This is our collection for Davucci.
27:57Our target audience is going to be
27:59the entrepreneur looking for
28:01quality exclusive pieces.
28:03So for our first piece,
28:05we have this jacket.
28:07Can we bring it up?
28:09Sure. Lay them out and then describe the pieces
28:11for them so that way they understand.
28:13This is the collection. We wanted to give y'all options.
28:15We kind of have like a bomb
28:17leather jacket with crop top in the back.
28:19The fur is detachable.
28:21The inside
28:23is a mixed marble color
28:25of the coat.
28:27We have a unique zipper.
28:29You know, you don't like that fur look
28:31but you like that leather jacket.
28:33You can take that fur off.
28:35The hood is also detachable.
28:37So you also have two jackets
28:39in one as well.
28:41We didn't even get a chance to
28:43practice our speech
28:45or practice how we was going to present it
28:47to the judges.
28:49We also threw in the yin yang sign
28:51which means equality.
28:53We also have the microphone on there.
28:55Music, that's something we all like to do.
28:57Dank is a real creative person
28:59who might be rough around the edges
29:01but these are some things that you know how to do.
29:03I added the stitching in there
29:05because I was thinking of like Frankenstein.
29:07Like we all went through something.
29:09We have to build ourselves up.
29:11And I just added the color on it
29:13just because I'm just a colorful girl anyway.
29:15So I just wanted to add that
29:17because that just represents who I am
29:19and it just brightens up everything, you know.
29:21It's hard selling ourselves.
29:23As far as the marketing goes,
29:25nobody is having that together
29:27as far as that goes
29:29because it wasn't much guidance
29:31from B Gold.
29:33He just said, hey, keep creating, keep creating, keep creating.
29:35I decided to do a bucket hat
29:37because everybody like hats, everybody wear hats.
29:39So wait a minute.
29:41What the hell is going on?
29:43If it's cold outside, if it's hot outside, no matter what.
29:45Molly, where did you get the hat from?
29:47You was not supposed to be doing the hat.
29:49You can dress up, you can dress it down.
29:51You had to be different
29:53from everyone else.
29:55And don't get me wrong.
29:57No, everybody cannot be the same.
29:59And I still mean that and I still stand on that.
30:01But this here was something different.
30:03Molly seems to shine
30:05before she becomes a star.
30:07You gave me versatile looks
30:09and when you're presenting to a retailer
30:11you're giving them a bunch of different ideas
30:13and looks.
30:15The messaging is a little bit
30:17all over the place.
30:19What if someone
30:21questions
30:23the fur?
30:25Is it real an animal? Is it fake?
30:27You have PETA issues?
30:29How would you handle that?
30:31Have you guys thought about that?
30:33I feel though, because you just put us on.
30:35Honestly, no we did not.
30:37But I do feel like it shouldn't be real.
30:39It can be,
30:41so it can be like an imitation
30:43but it's got to be that good quality.
30:45A lot of people in the industry
30:47that you're going to be in
30:49will say if it's not chinchilla, if it's not real fur
30:51that's, I don't want it.
30:53What's your messaging to the consumer?
30:55I'm going to say, listen, we got other ones
30:57that don't even got the fur on it.
30:59Or a lot of our stuff
31:01come with zippers so you can unzip it.
31:03If you don't like it, take the fur off.
31:05That's the option of our quote.
31:07So basically, if you don't like it, don't get it.
31:09That was the wrong answer to say.
31:11If you don't want it, then don't get it.
31:13That was totally wrong to say.
31:15I just said some dumb shit.
31:17So I just know I'm going home.
31:19I'm out of here. What did I say that for?
31:21You just lost all those sales.
31:37So basically, if you don't like it, don't get it.
31:39That was the wrong answer to say.
31:41If you don't want it, then don't get it.
31:43That was totally wrong to say.
31:45You just lost all those sales.
31:47Rocky, do I really want her?
31:49She is the epitome of what the hell
31:51I don't want in my house.
31:53When you're doing a presentation
31:55and you're presenting yourself,
31:57you have to go one at a time.
31:59Y'all cannot go on top of each other
32:01because now it sounds like tangled up
32:03and you don't really understand what's going on
32:05because everybody's speaking
32:07and you're talking over each other
32:09and you didn't have that game plan locked in.
32:11It was kind of like talking over each other
32:13because we didn't want one of our teammates
32:15to forget something important.
32:17I like the fact that you guys have options,
32:19but whether you're going straight to market
32:21or you're trying to get real estate
32:23in these department stores,
32:25a collection has to be cohesive.
32:27You got some good stuff,
32:29it just has to be kind of brought together
32:31like a gumbo a little better.
32:33And in the process of doing that,
32:35you have to talk about who came up short.
32:37Did anyone work more or less?
32:39Because we see
32:41that there's some deficiencies here
32:43that can be improved upon.
32:45No.
32:47I feel like everything was
32:49pretty much all our decisions together.
32:51Every single piece that was done,
32:53it had something to do
32:55with each and every one of us.
32:57For your first shot to me,
32:59I think you did very well.
33:01You did very well.
33:03You should be proud of yourself.
33:05I mean, you should be proud of yourself.
33:07Thank you.
33:09Thank you, ladies.
33:11We were just like,
33:13yo, like, do you like it?
33:15We do.
33:17And giving their constructive criticism,
33:19it's very much appreciated.
33:21And we were just so, so excited.
33:23So what do you guys think?
33:25I just wish that this jacket
33:27could really flip out
33:29where the arms could come off.
33:31I like the fact that they both tried, right?
33:33The first one, they were smart.
33:35They brought the mood board out.
33:37It felt like they were in sync
33:39where the other girls were kind of talking
33:41over each other, trying to, you know,
33:43I think because it was so many ideas,
33:45that's why it sounded like
33:47they were overlapping each other.
33:49But that was creativity too.
33:51Yeah, that's true.
33:53There's some good ideas here
33:55that it needs to be more cohesive.
33:57Both of them did a great job,
33:59and both of them have quality things
34:01on the boards.
34:03This gave me a lot of volume,
34:05and I'm going to chalk this energy up
34:07as creative energy
34:09that I always use with my young interns
34:11and understand that they want
34:13to give me a lot of work.
34:15So I'm going to hold that against them.
34:17Okay, teams, let's go!
34:27Okay, ladies.
34:29All did a great job,
34:31but before we decide
34:33who the winner is,
34:35there's something that I want to do first.
34:37Anyone that I see tonight
34:39that stands out
34:41gets that golden mic.
34:43So I didn't think this person
34:45was going to stay here.
34:47I just knew she was getting
34:49the hell out of here.
34:51Not only did she stay,
34:53but she aced out on her team.
34:55She did the drawing,
34:57the sketching,
34:59all the stuff she did on her team.
35:01Ooh!
35:03Pulling off some inner talents.
35:05So guess what?
35:07I know where that golden mic is going today.
35:09Dank, come forward.
35:13You get the golden mic today
35:15that makes you safe
35:17from elimination.
35:19I'm super proud of you
35:21and how you're pushing yourself
35:23to keep moving forward.
35:25Regardless to what's going on with you,
35:27you keep pushing through.
35:29Thank you.
35:31I'm so proud of Dank
35:33that she got the golden mic.
35:35She really deserves it because
35:37she really been working hard
35:39and she a crazy rapper.
35:41I'm the first person to receive the gold mic.
35:43This is super surprising to me.
35:45I'm excited.
35:47I'm feeling so happy for Dank.
35:49Dank is very fucking talented.
35:51She's different.
35:53She come from the trenches
35:55and the struggles of Detroit
35:57and so many ways.
35:59So instantly, I fall in love with Dank.
36:01Instantly.
36:03Where the fuck this golden mic come from
36:05and how do I get one?
36:07Because I need one.
36:09Go ahead, Dank. Put that gold mic.
36:11When my daddy died, I got straight to it.
36:13Told myself mama and my brothers ain't gotta do it.
36:15Yeah, I made time, started wasting time
36:17and started fucking up in school
36:19because money ruined my mind.
36:21My lifestyle is gay, but I never come to play.
36:23But me bitches in my way, but they ain't saying shit to my face.
36:25I was raised by a killer, so imagine what I can do.
36:27Come on, Dank.
36:33The thing that keeps getting me
36:35is that every time I underestimate
36:37you guys,
36:39something else
36:41damn comes through.
36:43I don't know what to say, but I can't stand y'all.
36:47Y'all making this so difficult
36:49that it's pathetic.
36:51I thought yesterday
36:53I wasn't gonna have half of y'all
36:55even standing here.
36:57Now I have another freaking day
36:59that y'all done outdid yourself again.
37:01I want to say
37:03give yourselves a round of applause.
37:05You did a really good job.
37:07For your first time, I'm very impressed.
37:09Nilsson, you want to tell them who won?
37:11Everybody had nice designs,
37:15good options, but it ultimately
37:17came down to presentation.
37:19For that alone,
37:21we're gonna give it to...
37:37Nilsson, you want to tell them who won?
37:39Ultimately came down to presentation,
37:41and for that alone,
37:43we're gonna give it
37:45to Team Dakar.
37:47Team Dakar.
37:51Congratulations.
37:53None of you guys will be eliminated.
37:55You're safe from elimination.
37:57I already knew this was gonna happen,
37:59so I feel accomplished.
38:01Miss Deb now makes the harder decision.
38:05I don't want anybody to leave.
38:09One of the things about us as women
38:11is very, very hard
38:13for us to get through
38:15because we're hard-headed.
38:17We don't listen to nothing that we're told,
38:19and we think we know every goddamn thing.
38:21Unfortunately,
38:23today...
38:31Malachi,
38:33I have to say goodbye.
38:35One of the things that I need you to know,
38:37a part of me feel like you're just here
38:39to just get whatever it is
38:41that you can get out of it and just keep it moving
38:43because you have a team,
38:45and I wanted to work with people
38:47that didn't have anybody to help them.
38:49Yeah, I have a team behind me,
38:51but my whole thing with that was
38:53out of all people, Miss Deb should know
38:55that even when these artists and stuff
38:57do have a team, everybody don't be
38:59playing their motherfucking role.
39:01Because you're on stage, and you're opening up,
39:03and it's being paid for for you to go there
39:05because it's not like all these people
39:07are pulling you to open up for them
39:09because you would already have a deal.
39:11You wouldn't be good. You wouldn't need none of us.
39:13I don't see where any of this is gonna really
39:15help you because
39:17you're resistant to a lot of things.
39:19Big Molly done went in and designed
39:21a hat. Plus,
39:23she's already bragging to everybody
39:25that she already has a brand,
39:27she has management already, she have all the stuff already.
39:29So what's the point
39:31of you being here?
39:33Being on stage one time don't mean nothing.
39:35This residual's coming from here.
39:37This is something that a brand's
39:39gonna value and like you, and that they want you.
39:41Not because you got on a stage
39:43and you performed with someone.
39:45From what Miss Deb basically
39:47says is that she feels like Big Molly
39:49doesn't need this opportunity.
39:51That Big Molly almost bigs herself
39:53up to the point that it's braggadocious.
39:55But if you ain't gonna
39:57drag about yourself, who gonna drag for you?
39:59There's other things that are there
40:01that you have to have in order to
40:03keep moving forward.
40:05So for that, today I have to eliminate you.
40:07You cannot shine
40:09before you become a star.
40:11The day that you become so comfortable
40:13and think you're so big,
40:15your career is over.
40:17She's basically saying that I feel like
40:19I'm too much of a superstar.
40:21You supposed to feel like you the shit.
40:23When you walk in that room, when you go on that stage,
40:25when you walk wherever, feel like you the shit.
40:27You supposed to show people you unfuckwithable
40:29so they don't play in your face.
40:31I want you to know that you
40:33have to stay hungry,
40:35but you have to eat humble pie.
40:37I'm gonna tell you something that my grandmother told me.
40:39In order to kick
40:41ass, Debra,
40:43you first gotta learn how to kiss it.
40:45And if you don't know how to kiss ass, then you can't kick ass.
40:47And I had to learn that.
40:49And I had to learn that some hard ways
40:51because my mouth got me in a lot of trouble.
40:53I didn't know how to calm down.
40:55I didn't know how to shut up.
40:57I didn't know how to go there because I know this.
40:59This is what I do. I do this stuff.
41:01You have to learn that.
41:05You have to learn that.
41:15I take everything you said well.
41:17I don't take it harsh at all.
41:19And I just want to thank you for allowing me to be here
41:21and meet these wonderful ladies.
41:23Big Molly
41:25doesn't deserve to be eliminated right now
41:27because you're supposed to always
41:29feel like you the shit.
41:31You're supposed to always brag on your accomplishments.
41:33With that, ladies,
41:35our night has come to a conclusion.
41:37I think you guys did
41:39very well.
41:41And see you when we get back to the house.
41:43When they announced that Big Molly
41:45was getting eliminated, a piece of my heart broke.
41:47Just because I'm from
41:49North Carolina, she's from North Carolina,
41:51so automatically I'm like, that's my N.T. sis.
41:53I hate to see her go.
41:55Molly is getting sent home
41:57for feeling like
41:59she accomplished a lot.
42:01To me,
42:03I wouldn't have sent her home.
42:05I would have given her a chance because
42:07she was hot as shit.
42:09With Molly's elimination,
42:11I really do feel disappointed and sad for her.
42:13I know this is an experience that she wanted to
42:15experience way more than just
42:17the first two or three days that we've been here so far.
42:19I feel like
42:21I'm going to miss her.
42:23What's going on right now?
42:25I'm just ready to go.
42:27What happened today?
42:29I don't know.
42:31You were there.
42:33What did Miss Deb say?
42:35She said I felt too much like a superstar.
42:37That's what she said.
42:39Basically.
42:41She said more than that, but that was basically
42:43what she was saying.
42:45Do you think there's anything
42:47that you could have done differently
42:49to influence her in other ways?
42:51No, because I feel like everybody's supposed
42:53to feel like that about theirself.
42:55I feel like everybody's supposed to feel like
42:57they already made it.
42:59If you don't feel like that,
43:01then you ain't going to never be shit
43:03because your confidence is shitty.
43:05Like I said, I ain't going to never discredit
43:07myself for the stuff that I've done
43:09because it may not be big to other people,
43:11but it's big to me because it's people
43:13where I'm from that can't do that type of shit.
43:15Hose can't play with me,
43:17ain't safe with me.
43:19I don't smoke, I ain't with that shit.
43:21I get that shit, I let these stitches blow.
43:23Get that killer shit, that gangsta shit
43:25that if you know, you know.
43:27You a hoe, that's for you and your bro.
43:29You ain't with that, where your get back?
43:31Bitch, come get your lick back.
43:33Two times right, she mismatch and she kick back.
43:35Knock your shit back.
43:37You never stop, you put up like a show.
43:39You broke, you need a hell and I fed you niggas
43:41like on the show.
43:43Big Valley!
43:45One, two, three.
43:47Big Valley!
43:51I don't take it as a loss.
43:53Like, I'm happy I got to meet the girls.
43:57That was the best thing that came out of it.
43:59Meeting those group of women
44:01and building a bond with them so quickly
44:03because we relate on so many different levels.
44:05That was the best thing that came out of
44:07this entire experience for me.
44:09I want to say good luck to all of you
44:11and don't let this shit break you
44:13because they gonna keep chopping us down
44:15and whoever win, I love you.
44:17You got this shit and take this shit
44:19and do what you're supposed to do
44:21and don't look back.
44:23But I wish everybody luck.
44:25I love everybody and you know,
44:27that's it.
44:29I love the girls.
44:31And with that being said,
44:33I'm out.
44:35I'm out.
44:37I'm out.
44:39With that being said,
44:41Big Gangsta
44:43is out.
44:45No words.
44:49Bye!
44:51Bye!
45:07And then there was seven.
45:11Action!
