00:00What's Trending just caught up with the Ned's Declassified cast at VidCon to talk
00:04favorite podcast guests, Mama Werkheiser, and an adult survival guide.
00:09On June 27th, the 12th annual VidCon in Anaheim, California kicked off, bringing together creators
00:15and fans in a star-studded four-day event.
00:18Ned's Declassified Podcast Survival Guide is a fun and nostalgic podcast hosted by the
00:24original cast members of the beloved TV show, Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide.
00:29Devan Werkheiser, Lindsay Shaw, and Daniel Curtis Lee dive into hilarious and heartfelt
00:34discussions about their time on the show, and just talk to What's Trending about some
00:38of their favorite moments from the pod.
00:40It's been my favorite part of doing the pod actually has been reconnecting with either
00:45guests from Ned's, like so actors we worked with but haven't seen in maybe 15 years and
00:49just catching up on their journey, or the other child actors that like either we overlapped
00:54with or didn't, but had the same kind of path.
00:57And I find it, it's been really comforting to talk to the other child actors about their
01:02journey from like child acting to adulthood, because it's a really unique, weird journey
01:05we've all taken.
01:06And what about you in the end?
01:07Yeah, I mean, yes, no, uh, yeah, it's been great, reconnecting, like he's saying, but
01:15we are highlighting like such a niche kind of nostalgia that we share with with people.
01:21So it's great, like he said, hearing other people's stories about that childhood industry.
01:26You just had your mom recently on the podcast.
01:28Did you what did it take any convincing to get her on the podcast?
01:32It took convincing myself.
01:35She's a huge part of Ned's like, she's, she's a huge part of that set making it run looking
01:40out for all of us.
01:42She's got stories.
01:43She's like remembering things that we don't so I knew she would be a great guest.
01:46But then I almost was like, No, I don't want to share her with the internet.
01:51The internet's a strange, weird, dark place.
01:55And I wanted to protect my mom from it.
01:57But all the feedback on the episode has been great.
01:59And I'm still glad we had her on.
02:01Would you want to ever do something with the show in the future for television again?
02:05Yes.
02:06I think we should plead the fifth.
02:08Yes.
02:09Maybe we should.
02:10Yes.
02:11Been been pushing for it.
02:12We've been working at it for a couple years, but we're gonna keep climbing that mountain.
02:17We've been tinkering behind the scenes.
02:18We'll see what happens.
02:19No more dance shows, guys.
02:21There are so many guides that we could give tips on in a fun way for an adulthood survival.
02:26I see it.
02:27Do you know what I'm saying?
02:28Oh, yeah.
02:29Roommates, taxes, taxes, addiction, like all of the grown up stuff that you really need
02:35help with now.
02:36Yeah, that we really needed help with and have like tried to mine things and gotten
02:40back together and try to get through it.
02:42Yep.
02:43Get back together.
02:44Eggs.
02:45What?
02:46What?
02:47What?
02:48What?
