00:00Four friends were killed when the car they were travelling in crashed into an electric
00:05pole at kilometre 24 of Jalan Renggam Simpang Renggam in Kluang.
00:10Kluang OCPD Assistant Commissioner Barin Mohamad Noh said police were alerted about the incident
00:16at 12.10am on Friday.
00:18Initial investigations revealed that the car was driven by Mohamad Adeeb Ahmad Shafarin,
00:24a university student, accompanied by his friends Mohamad Ziad Azmi, Ahmad Manan Zaini
00:29and Noor Aminul Fitri Noor Azmi.
00:32ACP Barin stated that all the victims, aged 21, were heading towards Renggam from Simpang
00:37Renggam when the driver suddenly lost control of the vehicle.
00:41The car veered off the road and crashed into an electric pole.
00:45Mohamad Adeeb, Mohamad Ziad and Ahmad Manan sustained severe head injuries and were pronounced
00:51dead at the scene.
00:52Noor Aminul succumbed to his injuries while being treated in the Enche Basar Hajja Khalsom
00:57Hospital.
00:58The case is being investigated under Section 41, Subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act.
