Man United's potential new coach Rene Hake seen in X-rated rant at his former Dutch side as he tells player they 'f***ed up the game'... with the Red Devils hoping to add him to Erik ten Hag's backroom staff

Manchester United's potential new coach Rene Hake has been seen giving an X-rated rant toward players during his time at Utrecht in a viral video.

Mail Sport has revealed that the Red Devils want to add Hake, currently a manager at Dutch side Go Ahead Eagles, to Erik ten Hag’s back-room staff.

United is hoping to bring in Hake, 52, as well as Ruud van Nistelrooy as senior coaches in a move that will raise questions over the futures of Ten Hag’s current assistants Mitchell van der Gaag and Steve McClaren.

Following the news a video has gone viral of Hake giving an incredible rant towards his players, seemingly after a defeat, in which he tells one player they 'f***ed up the game'.

The video shared by a Manchester United fan account starts with Hake exclaiming 'f***ing hell' before turning to one of his players during his time at Utrecht which was between 2020 and 2022.

The 54-year-old United boss is in talks over a new contract as his current deal enters its final year. Discussions are said to be ‘positive’ and it’s hoped the two sides can agree terms before Ten Hag returns for pre-season early next month.

The situation regarding Van der Gaag and McClaren is less clear, however. Both coaches joined United when Ten Hag moved from Ajax in the summer of 2022 but could fall victim to the round of changes being made by new co-owners Ineos.

Forwards coach Benni McCarthy will be out of contract at the end of the week and is also unsure about his future.
