00:06best point guards in the country. So influential to
00:09everything Marquette wanted to do the last few seasons that of
00:13course, a season ago, not this previous season but now 2 years
00:162022-23 ended in a Big East regular season title and
00:20tournament title under Shaka Smart but they were still a two
00:24seed this past year in the NCAA tournament as well. I really
00:28thought Donnie and there was some other spots last night for
00:31our draft special that featured odds of Colic being the
00:34favorite to be the number 23 overall pick which is what the
00:38Bucks had. Maybe it was just the Milwaukee connection that
00:41made it seem like a natural transition for Colic but also
00:45the idea that Milwaukee needs backcourt depth and somebody to
00:48place behind Damian Lillard as that backup point guard.
00:52Instead, they go for AJ Johnson, the development project
00:55out of Australia. I'm not entirely sure why he has slid
01:00but many considered him on the cusp of the first round. If
01:04he's drafted in the first five picks tonight, I wouldn't
01:06consider it the greatest upset or the greatest slide we've
01:09ever seen in the NBA draft. Yeah, no and I just wanted to
01:11make that because this was one of the guys that with Marquette
01:14throughout the regular season, a lot of people are saying like,
01:16you know what? I might spend some money here on a futures
01:19wager on Marquette to win and then even more intriguing when
01:21he got injured was what are we going to get back because on a
01:24day-to-day basis when we're breaking down the Big East
01:25tournament, it's like, oh, I wonder if he's going to come
01:27back and even John Rolstein coming on the program. You know
01:29what? I think they're going to hold him out to the big dance.
01:31Yeah. And then you were still trying to say, well, if I get
01:33regular season healthy Colic, I might be getting a discount on
01:36that. So, he's one of those players that can certainly
01:38drive. They can score. It can distribute and also obviously
01:40shoot it.
