Jordan Bardella, the 28-year-old president of France's far-right Rassemblement National (RN), is the party's contender for the position of prime minister if they were to obtain an absolute majority in the snap legislative elections on June 30 and July 7.

Born in 1995 to Italian immigrants, Bardella grew up in the Paris suburbs of Saint-Denis. At age 17, he joined Marine Le Pen's Rassemblement National party.
