A snowy day is the main ingredient in this creamy dessert. In this video, Ivy Odom makes snow cream using freshly fallen snow. Creating this ice cream-like recipe requires snow (obviously), vanilla, sugar, heavy cream, and sweetened condensed milk.

00:00Y'all, it's snowing in Alabama, so there's only one thing I can do.
00:05Snow cream.
00:06I grew up in South Georgia, where it snowed maybe three times in my life.
00:10And by snow, I mean ice fell from the sky and melted before it hit the ground.
00:13Then I moved to D.C. and lived through the worst snowstorm since the 1800s.
00:16I learned really quick that mixing snow with vanilla, sugar, and cream, or sweetened condensed milk
00:20makes shoveling your car out of three feet of snow a little bit better.
00:23Now I'm in Alabama, and I make it every time it snows here.
00:25If it melts too quickly, drink it with a straw.
