00:00As you can see, we are now on the configuration package screen and here you will get the inbuilt extended, a code made, India English Extended Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
00:18Central related product version 18, a package in which maximum things will be there.
00:25So let's assume that after using it for a while, how can we use Excel's fill handle? Let's tell you that.
00:32So as soon as this page opens, you will get a lot of table IDs, table names.
00:39Whatever you think you want to upload, let's take a particular one.
00:46For example, let's take a customer, let's take a master.
00:58Now what we have to do is we have to export to Excel. As soon as you click on it, an arrow sign appears, it means it has been selected.
01:04Now what can Excel's fill handle help us if we try to import customers?
01:16Fresh or second time or third time, we will try to make some changes, modifications in the masters.
01:26As you can see, all the details have come here. Now you will have one thing, which is the whole area of our column.
01:38In the whole column, only one value will be fitted. Now you can check it in another way.
01:47This is CTRL ENTER, so the last value is captured in the 71 row.
01:56So you can see, if you enter CTRL, it will bring you back to the first row, and where your data is, and if you enter CTRL, it will take you back to the last line.
02:07So all these shortcuts will be useful to you. Now let's talk about the main thing, which is called fill handle.
02:15What does fill handle do? But before using fill handle, what I have to do is, I have to select this whole column.
02:28Now you can check that the bottom 71 data has been selected in one particular column.
02:39Now let's call it clear. So what I have just used is called fill handle, which covers your entire selection.
02:48Now let's say, I have removed this. If we have to fill this kind of data, we had to write sales and, let's say, we have to write like this.
03:05This is one value. If I drag and drop like this, then let's say there are 10, 15, 20, 50 rows, or the data is 1000, 2000, then it's fine, but if it's too much, then it becomes a problem.
03:16So what we have to do is, we have to take this selection on a particular cell, and here you can see a small rectangle dot is being created.
03:26Take your mouse pointer on this rectangle dot, and a plus sign will be created. See, you have to click on it.
03:36As soon as you click, what it does is, it takes the range of the data that was captured, the entire format-wise, and automatically fills your data.
03:52So you can automatically fill your data using the fill handle. So this is your option, this is the fill handle.
04:01So fill handle, when you rotate this small rectangle dot mouse cursor, you will get this.
04:09What fill handle does is, it will select the entire area, and if there is data on one cell, it will copy-paste it.
04:17On the entire data range, that too automatically.
04:22And the second most important thing is, let's say you just want to select, then you can also just select.
04:32See, it has selected it. It has selected the entire range.
04:38So if you want to copy-paste something, drag and drop something, you can do things like this.
04:44All those things that have the same value.
04:47So if you don't want to do things that have the same value again and again, like shipping advice, contact type,
04:57see, the entire data will be the same. Company.
05:01That is, until the last 71 rows, the company will be written in this.
05:06You can also check this. Partial and complete, it has two values.
05:11So this is data-dependent, in which partial and in which shipping advice will be completed.
05:18But where you know 100% that there will be only one change, then you can ignore it and fill the rest.
05:26So this way you have to see which column is there in which you can put the same data.
05:36So you check that. If you want to update the file and use the shortcut to update,
05:44then it will save you a lot of time.
05:48For example, I will tell you, in the general business posting group, you normally put geographical data,
05:56like foreign purchases or domestic purchases, things like this.
06:03So by applying the filter of the country, we fill it completely.
06:09For example, if India is our country and we have taken India in it,
06:16then what can we do in the general business posting group?
06:21If it is domestic and other than India, then you can do it immediately.
06:26So fill handle can come in handy. It will fill the entire domestic and foreign.
06:34Similarly, if the value like other expenses, other trade is going to go to the whole cell,
06:41in the situation of traders, where you make GL for payables, in its sections, then you can use that too.
06:52So this way you have to see which thing you have to fill at which place, A to Z.
07:00Use it there and enjoy the shortcut.
07:04Thanks for watching. Bye.
