Gwen Jinks talks about her helicopter ride

A 97-year-old woman's dreams came true after being treated to a helicopter ride on her birthday.

00:06Oh, not too bad at all. Bit tired, but other than that I'm alright. Yes.

00:11Did you enjoy the helicopter ride and how did your wish come true?

00:17Oh, it was lovely. The whole thing was absolutely beautiful and the weather was kind to us.

00:24It was, it was good, yes. I really enjoyed it. Yes.

00:30Is there any more wishes you can think of that you want to do next?

00:34Not at the moment, no. I'm quite happy with what's happened. Oh, it was lovely, yes. The whole thing was lovely.

00:43Would you like to say anything to any of the people who's made this happen on your birthday?

00:50Well, everybody's been so kind. It's really been lovely. And the people at the airport and that, they were lovely.

01:00I can't thank everybody enough really because it has, it's really been wonderful. It's made it a beautiful day.

01:10And your wish has come true?

01:12I suppose it has in a way, yes. I never dreamt of such a thing.

01:16I know.

01:17Yeah.

01:18It's really weird of me and you speaking to each other when you first came in a few months ago about your wish.

01:25And you said like, you wish I don't think I'd ever come true. And you said you wanted to go on a helicopter.

01:30Yeah, I just, you know, it was something I'd almost forgotten really. But it's lovely to think that it has happened now.

01:38That's it.

01:39Beautiful.

01:40You can say that wishes do come true no matter what. It doesn't matter how old you are, wishes come true, don't they Gwen?

01:47They're just as pleasing. It's really lovely. Yes.
