00:00Hello, I'm Glenn Rees, I'm the Chief Inspector for Response here at Wigan.
00:04Here at Wigan it's a really challenging area to operate in with a high number of demands and calls for service,
00:11but we have a really great team of response officers here at Wigan,
00:14so there's over 150 officers here to respond to the demand and the calls for service.
00:20Just ask at the moment, particularly in the hot weather and the hot summer, that does increase the demands for calls for our service,
00:26so it's just a request, please, where possible.
00:29Our 999 calls do get really busy, so if it's not an emergency and it's not a 111,
00:34just make use of that online facility so we can respond appropriately.
00:38And also just ask, sometimes we arrange appointments as well at victims' request,
00:43so just make sure you're available for those appointments,
00:45so we're maximising the opportunity to speak to you and help you,
00:48and making sure we've got enough officers to respond to the other incoming demand that we have here at Wigan.
