00:00A few days ago, IDPC mentioned that for this new AI tool, we should wait a bit and not
00:06use exactly in the EU how we are using or training our data system.
00:11Okay.
00:12And this is exactly what we have said.
00:13We said, we are a bit sad that is your point of view.
00:16We believe it could be a different view, but you are the regulator.
00:19So we paused everything and we have postponed some specific tools, what we call meta-AI,
00:24for EU.
00:25This is a super competitive industry.
00:28In Cannes, you saw all the tech platforms, all the tech companies here that are fighting
00:35to lead the world in AI.
00:36We want to be one of the best companies in AI.
00:38We are spending this year between 35 to 40 billion dollars of capex to develop our infra
00:45and to propose to all our users the best tool.
00:49This is the challenge we are facing, but this is also a huge opportunity for us.
00:53We are proud of one point, is that 10 years ago, we were suddenly the first company to
00:57build the biggest AI lab in France, the Fair Lab, thanks to Yann LeCun, our chief AI, he
01:04is French, living in New York, but French.
01:07So for us, it was a huge milestone to have the capacity to have this laboratory in Paris
01:12and the capacity to gather many talent around that, not only French people, but a lot of
01:18Europeans working on that.
01:19And this is one of the most important labs we have in AI.
01:21So there is a huge ecosystem in France and we are absolutely part of that.
01:26We have an incubator program in Paris, in Station F, we are working with many startups
01:32on that and we try to continue to push, to spread, to open, because we believe that we
01:37need a strong AI ecosystem in Europe.
01:41And we have in Europe, not only in France, talented people.
