Julian Assange is expected to arrive at Canberra Airport after a plea deal secured his release from prison with a conviction.

00:15Base in Canberra, just behind Canberra Airport, and the Canberra Times and several other media
00:22are here to witness a historic moment in time when, for the first time, Julian Assange,
00:29who founded Wikileaks and was imprisoned for 5 years, was in asylum for 7, will be setting
00:37foot in Australia for the first time in more than a decade, about 14 years, and this is
00:43where he will land.
00:46And this hangar is where he's expected to enter and leave the airport and we're unsure
00:54why he's landing in Canberra.
00:57He's a Queensland-born, Melbourne-raised journalist, but his supporters are tight-lipped
01:04about his engagements in Canberra and we'll just have to see what the future brings tomorrow.
