00:00Highway concessionaire Prolintas Group has confirmed that its CEO and two senior management
00:07members have been arrested by MACC.
00:11In a statement, the company said it will work closely and fully cooperate with the authorities
00:15to assist in its investigation.
00:17Prolintas' CEO is Aslan Abdullah.
00:19Earlier, a source said MACC had arrested the CEO, who is a Datuk, and two top officials
00:25of the Klang Valley Highway Concessionaire in connection with bribes involving two highway
00:29projects in the Klang Valley.
00:31The Anti-Graf Agency also arrested five individuals who own a company for allegedly offering bribes
00:37for the contracts.
00:39The source said the trio were believed to have solicited and accepted bribes from the
00:43company owners to allow them to take over a construction contract worth RM1 billion,
00:48which was previously carried out by another company.
00:51They are also believed to have accepted bribes for the construction of a section of another
00:54highway project with this contract worth RM670 million.
00:59Meanwhile, MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner Ahmad Qusayri Yahaya confirmed the arrests
01:04and said the probe is being held under Section 16 Sub AA of the MACC Act 2009.
