Legends never die.

Toyota’s off-road icon and longest-running nameplate is making a triumphant comeback to North America for the 2024 model year, returning to its rugged origin.

Since its introduction in the U.S. market in 1958, the Land Cruiser evolved over the years from the legendary two-door models like the 40 Series with its fold-down front windshield, white roof, and rear jump seats to the capable yet fully loaded 200 Series, which was the last generation to be sold in the States and combined Land Cruiser’s unbreakable strength with premium luxury features.

Now, Land Cruiser stays true to its heritage, returning as a high-quality off-roader at a more accessible price point that will take a wider range of customers on numerous backcountry adventures across the globe.

00:00Is there a better place for hundreds of Land Cruiser enthusiasts to gather from all across
00:11the globe for the annual Cruiser Fest?
00:14No, there isn't.
00:16We knew Land Cruiser would return, but we wanted to do it the right way.
00:21Introducing the all new 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser.
00:26I have to say, what a true honor to be able to work on this project and be part of a global
00:32team to continue the legend that is Land Cruiser.
00:37Starting in the early days of the Land Cruiser, both here in the United States and around
00:40the world, the Land Cruiser was always true to its core.
00:42It was a tough, rugged, heavy duty vehicle that you could trust to get you places, but
00:46more importantly, get you home.
00:48That's still true to this day and we've come to love the Land Cruiser for that reason.
00:51We really wanted to bring back the origins of some original Land Cruiser and just get
00:55back to our rugged roots of what Land Cruiser represented at some point in history.
01:00Land Cruiser will be the 25th electrified vehicle at Toyota and Lexus, which is more
01:05than any other automaker on the planet.
01:08We're really proud of that.
01:09It helps us achieve our beyond zero carbon neutrality goals.
01:132024 Land Cruiser has the capability for overlanding, for you to be able to see your trail, you've
01:18got crawl control, it's 100% hybrid I-Force Max, it's full time 4x4 off the road, so it's
01:25ready to go.
01:26What's going to be new and different is the hybrid powertrain going overlanding, right?
01:31You're going to get a lot of power out of this engine, it's going to be 465 horsepower
01:36that it's kicking out, the body roll, the chassis, the transmission, the engine, all
01:41of it working together makes it such a smooth ride.
01:44So we're going to launch the vehicle in the spring of 2024, just a few months away and
01:49we can't wait, customers are going to love it.
01:51I think it's very easy to look at this new model and spot a lot of cues from previous
01:56generation Land Cruisers and absolutely identify that Toyota has built another, will be successful
02:02Land Cruiser platform.
02:03It's the longest running nameplate we've had at Toyota, we have a huge, as evidenced by
02:08this amazing building with 100 Land Cruisers from all over the world, we have a huge customer
02:13base, you just can't wait to get their hands on it.
