00:00What was it like to get that call and then to know that your character is
00:05really going to be going toe-to-toe with the man himself?
00:08Yeah, well I got the script first of all and I just fell in love with this story.
00:14I fell in love with these characters. I fell in love with what I was reading and
00:19I go with that. I felt excited and then I got to meet Kevin and his incredible
00:24heart and his beautiful mind and I just fell in love with him as well. So I was
00:29elated, absolutely elated. It's an absolute privilege and a blessing. Yeah,
00:34that's how I felt.
00:35What was it like to be on set with him as he's both acting with you and
00:40directing you? How does he go about like blocking a scene that you guys are going
00:44to do together?
00:44Oh, I couldn't give away the magic secrets, that's for sure. But I think
00:49what's brilliant about Kevin is obviously, you know, he has, you know, he's
00:52an actor and he's a director. He loves his actors. He allows us the space to be
00:56free. There's a freedom and an intuition. That's why we're there, right? He sees
01:00something in us that he wants in his movie. And then he also does this
01:05great thing where he doesn't let us lean back on our laurels too much. He's going
01:09to push us, you know, and that's what the greatest directors do. They always bring
01:13something new out of you that you didn't know was there before and I loved it. It
01:17was exciting. It was electric. Electric is the only word that I have.
01:21What new did it bring out of you? What was the thing that you now do that
01:25you didn't do before working with Kevin Costner?
01:27That's my secret to keep. It's your secret to show us on the next season of
01:32Stranger Things, maybe? We'll see, we'll see. Yeah, exactly. Henry ends up being a
01:36Western cowboy. That show always takes us in strange directions that we didn't
01:40expect. But what is it like to be wrapping up that series as well? Because
01:45similar to this movie where it's, you know, this long-held thing that Kevin's
01:49been holding, you know, that is something that is beloved to the creators, beloved
01:53to the fans as well. You know, what is it like to be a part of wrapping up that
01:56story? Yeah, I get asked this question a lot. I think, you know, for me, I joined in
02:01season four. I know that this is a huge part of both the fans' lives and, you know,
02:05a lot of the cast's lives, you know. I'm very grateful to be a part of this show
02:09and I love it to bits. It has, in a way, changed my life, you know. But
02:15within that, you know, I'm a very much a day-by-day kind of guy. You know, I wake up,
02:20I'm grateful to have a roof over my head and food in my fridge and that's how I
02:24look at it. That's just honestly how I look at it. It's what can I do
02:28today to best serve this story in this moment? That's all I can do. So it's
02:32not the end of time for me yet, you know. It might feel different when
02:36I get on that last day. Like, end of season four, I burst into tears. I was
02:41in full Vecna, but we're not there yet. We're not there yet. What is it like to
02:45cry in full Vecna makeup? You'd have to ask the crew. I think they were, I
02:49remember saying, I know it's really uncool to see a monster cry, but I think
02:55they were probably quite perturbed by seeing this, you know, gooey, squidgy
02:58thing with tears rolling down his face, yeah. It's better to cry on the last day, though, because they don't have to reapply on the next take. Yeah, exactly. And also why are you
03:07crying on the first day would be my question. It's a lot of makeup. It's a lot
03:11to do. I guess my last thing is, you know, what will be kind of that
03:14moment that you think of when it comes to working on Horizon? What was that, you
03:19know, either hardest, coolest, most memorable day on this set? Listen, I hope
03:23that this comes across in the movie, and that's what I'm after. But as
03:27actors, we're always hoping for these great moments of what I like to call
03:31magic, and we were fortunate. We had a few of those, you know. They can't be
03:35scripted. They can't be rehearsed. They just happen in that moment, and we had a
03:41few, and I'm just, those are the things that will stick with me.
