00:00Well the Conservatives have failed, you know, I mean the big speech from Boris Johnson at
00:03Lyd Airport just over two years ago, and as yet it's been a total failure. We've given
00:09£500 million to France, the Rwanda scheme has cost £200 million, not a single cross-channel
00:14migrant has gone despite all of that money, and of course there was once a plane on Matarmac
00:20ready to go when a judge at 10pm from the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg
00:26intervened and stopped it from happening. We have to leave the ECHR, otherwise we will
00:31never ever deal with this. When it comes to genuine refugees, we are an incredibly generous
00:37country, we always have been, we've been going back centuries, and 500,000 people have come
00:42since 2016. They've come from Hong Kong, they've come from Afghanistan, they've come from Ukraine.
00:49What is happening here on the Channel, these are not refugees by any classical definitions
00:53whatsoever. These are nearly all young men, 91% male that cross, and they're coming from
01:01war zones in which many of them have fought, they're coming from countries plagued by terrorism,
01:08they're coming from countries that are often run by gang underworld culture, they're coming
01:15from countries where women are not even second class citizens, and frankly I think we should
01:19declare what's happening here in the Channel as a national security emergency.
