00:00Former Senator Laila Delima is no longer facing drug cases after she was acquitted in the third case yesterday.

00:07Based on the decision of the Muntilupa Regional Trial Court Branch 206,

00:11the prosecution found guilty beyond reasonable doubt that Delima and her four accomplices were the culprits.

00:17That's why the court gave the demerit to evidence or request of Delima's family

00:22to trash the case because the evidence of the prosecution is weak.

00:28The third case is about Delima's first involvement and use of New Bilibid Prison inmates

00:34to raise funds for her 2016 senatorial bid.

00:38Delima was first acquitted in February 2021 and May 2023 in cases related to illegal drug trading in Bilibid.

00:47Delima was jailed for more than six years in the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Krame

00:52before being released on bail in November 2023.

00:56According to former Justice Secretary Vitalyano Aguirre II,

00:59who was first in filing cases against Delima,

01:02he was lucky in the development of the case because Delima has been through a lot.

01:07We are trying to get the statement of former President Rodrigo Duterte by GMA Integrity News

01:12that he is the president of the case and that Delima was jailed.
