This is a mysterious story. A poor woodcutter named Sukhiya lives in the forest with his wife Lajwanti and daughter Charulata. One day he goes to King Sangram Singh of Sonpur state to ask for help in his daughter's marriage.One day, Prince Jaidev meets Charulata on the bank of the pond, they both fall in love, the Maharaja does not allow the prince to marry the woodcutter's daughter. The king keeps a condition from the woodcutter. He is unable to fulfill the condition and the king hangs him.
