00:00My name's Claire and I run Mansfield Community Choir here at St Albans Church in Forest Town.
00:06So we are a community choir. I set it up just to give people a safe space, just to come be themselves
00:13and just enjoy the love of singing, which is where it all started from really.
00:19I started doing this in January 2019 and the reason being was as a new mum at that point
00:28I was feeling quite lonely. I just wanted, again, just to have the outlet for myself
00:33and that's why choir was then born from there. It's a bit scary. So I've gone down from, I didn't
00:39even know I'd been nominated, so there was quite a lot in the category. So I've been told and to
00:45be in the final four just means absolutely everything and we find out if or who the
00:53winner is on the 13th of September at an awards ceremony in Nottingham. But when they phoned me
00:59it was multiple times. They were saying, are you still there? Because I just didn't, I had no idea
01:05that it was even going to happen. We've got a lot of things going on at the minute, so we are going
01:09to be here at St Albans on the 12th of July for their Summer Ball and then on the 23rd, I don't
01:17know what date it is, 27th I think of July, which is the Friday, we're going to be here again doing
01:22our big summer concert and then it's all preparations for Remembrance and Christmas but
01:30we do tend to get quite busy at this time of year as well, so it's all hands to deck.
