00:00During the administration of Dr Mahathir Mohamad as Prime Minister for the second time,

00:06he was vigilant about the UN's plans to make him as the head of state.

00:13According to the latest book by former politician Roman Bos,

00:17Mahathir felt that the PKR posed a greater threat to his leadership than the AP.

00:25In the book Bos, Shattered Hopes, which narrated the events after PH took power in 2018,

00:31he wrote that Mahathir considered the AP more loyal to him and told his aide

00:37that Lim Gong Eng gave him less headache and was more willing to follow Mahathir's orders.

00:44The only PKR minister who stood behind Mahathir was Azmin Ali Ujabus.

00:49He said the head of state police at the time, Hamid Badur,

00:53often visited Mahathir's office to report on what was being done by the PH leaders.

01:00Hamid, former head of the special police department,

01:03was accused of giving information to Mahathir about several plans

01:07that were alleged to bring him down,

01:09even showing the character of important people in his subsequent administration.

01:14Meanwhile, Bos claimed that members of the special police department

01:18were monitoring several leaders in the AP,

01:21including the main figure, Lim Kik Siang,

01:24who said he was interested in rebuilding the Chinese population.

01:29Hamid said Lim had succeeded and the return of the Malaysian Chinese

01:33would increase the political power of the community in the country and the government,

01:39Bos also claimed that Mahathir was interested in a large Malaysian political coalition

01:44consisting of BESATU, PAS and UMNO,

01:48while adding that the task of building the coalition was placed on President BESATU, Muhyiddin Yassin.
