00:00The 2024 NBA Finals champions are the Boston Celtics with their win over the Dallas Mavericks
00:09and after an incredible run this season, we were able to hear from the Mavs General Manager
00:13Nico Harrison.
00:14Now, when he was talking about the playoff series, he said, don't boil down and only
00:18look at the finals.
00:20We have to look at it in totality.
00:21The season they had was incredible and he knows that with this experience in the finals,
00:27the Mavs are headed in the right direction.
00:29And he also added that aside from Luka Doncic playing with injuries, they had four players
00:34without playoff experience.
00:36We're proud of the way this season went.
00:38You know, we're committed to building a winning organization that has championships aspirations.
00:45I'm proud of the coaches, the staff, the players.
00:49I really felt like we grew.
00:51Harrison first talked about Derek Lively highlighting his improvement since joining the organization,
00:56but wanted to address the misconception that the rookies have hit the wall, saying, hey,
01:01listen, these guys came in from college, started at the NBA Combine, and then were headed into
01:06workouts.
01:07So Lively really hasn't gotten a rest since joining the organization.
01:10And in the offseason, he wants him to prioritize rest.
01:14But he says he has no doubt that Lively is headed to be a great player.
01:18D-Live, he's improved right before our eyes.
01:21I mean, literally, the guy from the first part of the season all the way through to
01:26the playoffs, he's just continued to improve.
01:29I think the sky's the limit.
01:30I think we really, we got a good one in him.
01:33And when Harrison talked about P.J. Washington, he said over the offseason, he really wanted
01:38to improve, getting better at the three, and making sure that he'll be able to add more
01:42points come next season.
01:43Now, looking forward to the 2024 NBA Combine, Harrison says that money will not be a factor.
01:49He wants to continue to bring in high character guys, and money is not the issue.
01:54I don't think money is going to be an object.
01:56I think it's doing it the right way, bringing in people with good character.
02:02Money is not going to be the limiting factor.
02:05Well, that wraps up the 2023-2024 Dallas Mavericks season.
