00:04Hi everyone, welcome to Silverburn Park in Leven where as you can possibly hear behind me
00:08the 2024 Silverburn Festival is now well underway.
00:12It's a two day festival this year, we've got music all across Friday and a whole Saturday
00:16right through to Saturday night. The line up features many many local bands from across Fife
00:20and further beyond. And the good news is ticket sales have been really good this year.
00:24If you want a ticket you can double check at the door and you might get one if you're lucky.
00:28I'll show you around the site and some of the bands that are playing live.
00:32This is the main stage tent.
00:36The main stage has got a number of bands
00:40The Ricky Nines headline on Friday night.
00:44There's a whole stack of other bands as well.
00:48If we give you a wee glimpse at the schedule you'll see what's on.
00:52If you've got a festival, you're going to have some rain.
00:56And as you can see behind me, the brillies are up.
01:00The rain's coming down. But that was here at Silverburn, it was fantastic.

01:24How's it been going so far?
01:28It's been great. The rain has not kept anyone away.
01:32If anything it's brought them into the tents.
01:36You've got your direct show stage over there and your main stage here.
01:40We've got things for the kids.
01:44The castles, the stalls, the food stalls.
01:48After a wee cry welcome for 29 is coming up.
01:52Everybody's super excited to see them.
01:56What does this festival mean for global bands to play?
02:00I think it means so much.
02:04You've got your downloads, you've got all these massive festivals.
02:08But Silverburn, every year it just gets bigger and bigger.
02:12As you can see we've got the two stages now.
02:16And the Silverburn Park, not just Silverburn Festival,
02:20but you've also got your Fife Fest held here.
02:24And there's the gardens to see. It's just such a beautiful place.
02:28And for local people who live nearby, it just makes it so great for the community.

03:17A lot of these bands are being on K107. Tell us about your show.
03:21I do the Let It Rock show and there's obviously other shows on K107.
03:25A lot of the bands you're hearing over the weekend, myself and other presenters,
03:29we're playing them on our shows.
03:33So it's great to keep the music scene alive.
