00:20About 3.30pm, Inspector Scott entered the location alone and quickly located the offender,
00:26calling on him to stop.
00:28A short chase ensued before the offender stopped.
00:33Inspector Scott ordered bystanders to take cover behind her, ensuring their safety.
00:38The offender, still armed with the knife, charged Inspector Scott.
00:43She drew her service firearm and, while calmly moving backwards, discharged the firearm at
00:49the offender, fatally wounding him.
00:53Inspector Scott immediately commenced first aid on the offender.
00:57The bravery shown by Inspector Scott in a life-threatening situation ensured there was
01:02no further loss of life or injury.
