00:00Now on to the actual game itself.
00:07It's the St. Louis Cardinals in the San Francisco Giants.
00:10The card's a very slight favorite, minus 116 on the money line.
00:14The over-under is eight and a half.
00:17Craig told us about some of those renovations used to be a much larger ballpark, now a shorter
00:22ballpark in terms of those dimensions.
00:25What do you think the actual game will look like after first pitch tonight?
00:29Yeah, I think it's going to be, you know, they'll settle into it because, again, it's
00:32still baseball.
00:33The dimensions are going to be fine.
00:34It's not as if you're playing on a field that you've never seen before.
00:36Like, wow, I never knew center field could be 475 feet.
00:39Like, no, they're going to be somewhat of what you're going to anticipate and expect.
00:43But having said that, it's still a different optic because both teams are away teams here.
00:48These pitchers have never pitched on this backdrop in Major League Baseball, so it should
00:52get interesting.
00:53Also, keep in mind, take a look at Keaton Wynn on the field.
00:55Last 60 days as a pitcher, if we look at the card today, 18 total pitches because there's
00:59not that many.
01:00But over the past 60 days with at least 10 innings pitched, he actually doesn't have
01:03bad analytical numbers.
01:05He's actually number four on the card.
01:06You say, Don, that's great with a 3.87X5 number.
01:09But how about this?
01:10In ERA, Ben, for the last 60 days, 8.51.
01:14And you take a look at some of these other metrics that we love to use, last 47 batters
01:18over the past month, how about a 310 iso and a 391 weighted on base percentage?
01:22You should get a good hitting lineup tonight for St. Louis to respond.
01:26But it's a question of what do you trust more, whether your eyes tell me, hey, every time
01:29I tune in, this guy's giving up runs, or is it those, man, he's just getting a little
01:33bit unlucky because that's what those analytical numbers are telling you.
01:36Pallante on the opposite side, last 30 days for him, 73 batters and 0.62 iso and a weighted
01:41on base percentage of 3.05.
01:44So from a pitching perspective, I'm probably going to lean more from a St. Louis standpoint
01:48than I will the Giants here.
01:49I just maybe don't trust these pitchers as much as I should.
01:52So therefore, I'll just lean St. Louis here.
