00:00Good night Ruffman, before anything else could you give us an update on Brandon
00:05King we saw him go down retired, any updates? It's a little bit difficult for
00:10us to actually find out what is wrong with Brandon you know hopefully tomorrow
00:13during the duration of the day we will find out. Okay no problem, at the halfway
00:17stage 180 on the board did you think that you were a couple runs short? Nah, the
00:22halfway stage we think that 180 is a fight in total you know we knew that if
00:26we bowled well we could have defended 180. All right and speaking about bowling
00:31well the team made a difficult decision to leave out Owen McCoy in spite of his
00:36performance last game and what was the rationale behind that and in hindsight
00:40do you think it was the right decision? I think when you're selecting a team and you have
00:42players that are playing good you know you will always have to make the tough
00:46decision you know we sit down as a selection group and think that this that
00:49the team that play today is our better team to face England you know and it
00:53just didn't work out tonight.
00:59Yes, we've seen the West Indies batting first on two occasions it didn't quite
01:06work out this time but would you have batted first if you had won the toss this time?
01:12If we won the toss we would have bowled also you know it's a general it's a
01:16general thing for teams when when wicket is good you know you kind of unsure as
01:21to what is a good total on the wicket so you generally bowl first.
01:26Okay, you have two more matches and you have to be among the top two from the group how
01:32confident or optimistic are you of pulling through as the top two in this group?
01:38I think our destiny is still in our own hands you know it's just for us to
01:41continue to play good cricket and once we do that we think we'll be okay.
01:46We saw your spinners this evening kind of bowl the pace was a little faster was
01:54that a ploy or did that or was that just part of the strategy?
01:59I think it was it was after they assessed the wicket from all the English guys bowling
02:04we think Adil Rashid bowled fantastic on the wicket you know and he bowled a
02:07little bit slower than normal you know so we think as a bowling group that you
02:11know sometimes if you vary your pace as spinners you know you can you can you
02:15can get just reward on a good wicket like that.
02:17Okay, finally I'm going forward you know there are one two guys who haven't gotten a knock,
02:21Etemaya, Achinwon, will there be any any tweaks in the side to get some of these guys into the game?
02:29Just sit here and tell her that we will have tweaks we will have changes for the next game it's a difficult one you know we
02:35still think that the guys that took the field tonight was the right guys that
02:39took the field you know but those things do happen England played a very good
02:42game of cricket tonight.
02:49So describe that feeling you're at 50 and no wickets and you're fielded what
03:00comes to your mind as a captain seeing the potential of losing that match at
03:06that time? It's just cricket you know sometimes sometimes you're gonna be
03:12put in some situations where you're gonna lose a few games you know it's
03:16just for us now to pick up the pieces you know absolutely nothing runs through
03:19my mind you know when when we realize that we lost the game we try to push the
03:22game as far as possible because you know net run rate can become a factor in the end.
03:27Describe the St. Lucia audience, describe the St. Lucia spectators at that time.
03:33You know a lot of credit have been given to the people of St. Lucia I think the
03:36two games that we played the other came out in their numbers and support us you
03:40know and I think it's it's it's for me as a captain to tell them thanks you
03:44know they have been fantastic for the for the duration of the two games.
03:54Thank you.
