00:19According to Blinken, China's actions are affecting regional peace and stability.
00:24Blinken also gave the ironclad commitment of the United States to the Philippines under the Mutual Defense Treaty.

00:35On June 17, the Philippine Navy's ships carried out a rotation and resupply mission
00:39when the China Coast Guard intercepted and bombed them.
00:43This resulted in seven wounded soldiers, one of which was cut in half.
00:48The Philippine Navy's ship was also damaged.
00:51The Chinese Foreign Ministry reiterated that their Coast Guard is professional and restrained.
00:57They also said that they did not have direct contact with the soldiers.
