00:00I'm in a cloudy Sheffield and I'm on my way to Subway. Today we're going to try
00:05their footlong cookie which announced this triumphant return to restaurants
00:08and the Subway app just this month. I'm quite excited to find out what this is
00:14all about because obviously it's a footlong cookie but is it just a cookie?
00:17How is it different from anything that Subway has heard before? And do you not
00:21get bored of it after a bit? That's the real question. So what we're gonna do
00:25today, we're just gonna go try it out and see what it tastes like.
00:49I think it was quite interesting how they were made because they were ready
00:53to go basically, they just got put in the oven, they got warmed up, they got served, you paid and then
00:59you just left them so it literally took what, two minutes? Obviously the cookie
01:03was quite famous because it got out alongside a footlong churro which I
01:08found quite interesting as well. So I got both of them and now all we have to do
01:12is find somewhere to sit and literally just try them out.
01:23The sidekick menu of Footlong Snacks, it says that the footlong cookie is packed
01:37with gooey chocolate and that's exactly what it looks like. If you could feel the
01:43smell you would fall in love with this. I guess it's time to ruin the beauty and
01:49give it a go.
01:53Oh my god, this is amazing. So it's not as soft as I thought it would be, it's
02:04quite crunchy but it kind of melts into your mouth, the chocolate chips which is
02:07perfect. As you can see I'm eating it with my hands which is fair enough if you
02:11just want to take it away and enjoy it. The very fact that it's so crunchy but
02:19it keeps that softness inside is kind of what makes it perfect and kind of
02:24what makes it worth the money really because I paid four pounds for this and
02:29it may seem a lot but considering how big this thing is, it's literally the
02:34same as you buy a pack of cookies and biscuits already done, the same thing. But
02:40this is served warm, available to go, like I said before, took two minutes to get it
02:45ready and I think it was worth the money, yes.
02:50The truth is this could very well be your lunch or your dinner when you buy
02:54it. It's good for eating outside and it's gonna last a long time, like this is
03:00gonna last the whole day. I'm not sure how many calories it has, I'm gonna check
03:04but just carrying it around with you, you can have a big bag for that. I would
03:10probably suggest not to have the massive Subway sandwiches in any one of
03:15these because it's a lot, a lot of food but it tastes so good and Subway has
03:23really, really done the job there.
03:29Outside is pretty good for any kind of day, so today is a bit cloudy, I can see
03:34the blue sky coming out now but I would say even if it's a rainy day,
03:40even if it's a sunny day, I think it's pretty good because it's not warm enough
03:46to make it like a wintry food. So it's technically pretty good for this summer
03:52as well, so if you don't know what to eat as a dessert after a good, good lunch or
03:57a good dinner, Subway is ready for you with a foot-long cookie. I would lick my
04:03fingers if I was in outside, you know, you know what they say, but I think it's
04:07time to put the cookie apart and see what the churro is like. In a sense the
04:12churro is not as fancy as the cookie, it just comes in the little envelope there
04:16and it comes however with this little sauce.
04:33I guess it's time to go.
04:50You know what, for somebody like me that doesn't enjoy very sweet things, this is
04:59very good and also I'm not quite a big fan of caramel, I've never been, but this
05:04actually tastes so good. It's not weirdly crunchy like other churros I've had
05:09before, it's quite soft in a sense but not soft enough to kind of melt in your
05:14mouth, which is kind of the perfect consistency what we're looking for. I
05:17think that because it's one churro per one person, it shows that it's enough
05:23after a good lunch, after a Subway sandwich. It's not as filling as the
05:29foot-long cookie was, however, because it's a, in a sense, a smaller dessert, it's
05:34still a foot-long churro, let's admit it, but because it's just one, it'll be the
05:41perfect amount that you need after a big lunch. I'm a fan, I'm a fan and I
05:49absolutely do not love caramel, but I am a fan of this. I suppose the question now
05:54is, did I get caramel sauce on my camera? Yes, I did. Is this going to be my dinner?
