00:00One of Tamworth's coldest days of the year is about to get even colder.
00:05On a chilly winter Wednesday, three brave Northgate Coals employees are taking the plunge,
00:10doing the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise funds for fighting motor neuron disease.
00:15So how are you feeling?
00:17I'm already cold, but yeah, pumped.
00:20Nice. And what made you want to do this?
00:23Well, there's a few team members in the store that this is a personal thing for them,
00:26so it's good to be able to support them and then support others that have been affected by MND.
00:30So I just think it's a very good cause and it's great to get the rest of the team behind it.
00:33Excellent. Are you ready to get dunked?
00:35Let's do this.
00:37Coals stores across Tamworth have raised nearly $5,000 for Fight MND this year
00:42and more than $21,000 in total since 2018.
00:46Carrie, count down, you're loud.
00:48Okay, ready? Three, two, one, dunk!
00:52Dunk!
01:01That was great!
01:05Go Team Coals!
01:07Funds raised will go to Fight MND,
01:09one of Australia's leading charities for research into effective treatments and cures for the disease.
01:15How are you feeling now?
01:17Even colder, but no, great cause.
01:20Any regrets?
01:21None at all.
01:27This has been Jonathan Hawes for the Northern Daily Leader!
01:43Is that cold?
01:44That's pretty cold! That's pretty cold!
