Transcript
00:00Manchester United's fixtures for the new Premier League season have been released.
00:06Manchester United will begin the new campaign, they will actually kick-start the entire Premier League season
00:12when they host Fulham at home on Friday 16th August.
00:17The following week, United will travel to face Brighton.
00:20Of course there have been some very famous trips to the Amex in recent seasons.
00:24United finished last season at the Amex as well when they defeated Brighton 2-0
00:29in what at the time looked like it could have been Eric ten Hag's final game as manager.
00:33But of course he remains the Manchester United manager.
00:35And his first massive test of the season comes in the third match of the season
00:40when Man Utd host Liverpool at Old Trafford.
00:44Like I said, the Fulham game is already confirmed for the Friday night.
00:48The other TV picks haven't been finalised yet but are expected to be done so early next month in early July.
00:54United, after facing Fulham, Brighton and Liverpool, then have two away matches.
00:59They travel to face newly promoted Southampton and then they travel to face Crystal Palace
01:05who of course it only feels like it was recently that they defeated them 4-0 at Selhurst Park.
01:10So that will be a real barometer really of how far United have come
01:14and what has really changed under Eric ten Hag.
01:17That was one of the matches that was oddly quite key in ten Hag keeping the United job
01:22because although United were fresh 4-0 at Selhurst Park last time
01:25there was such a defiant response from the fans who were still behind the United manager.
01:30Looking forward, United face Man City in the first Manchester derby of the season in mid-December
01:35with a return match scheduled for early April.
01:39Some other notable dates include the fact that United face Wolves away on Boxing Day
01:45and they are due to finish the Premier League season at home to Aston Villa.
01:49A little quirk as well, United have already made Premier League history you'll be glad to know.
01:54They are the first team in the competition's history to have eight consecutive home matches
01:59as their opening fixture of the campaign.
02:02So for the seven last seasons already United have been at home for the first match
02:06and they will continue that trend like we said when they host Fulham.
02:09The other little bit of information that is probably worth knowing
02:12is that we already know when the Europa League dates will be this season.
02:16There are eight group games for Manchester United that they will be taking part in
02:20and that goes now on until January.
02:23So previously European campaigns would finish in early December.
02:27United will still be playing the group stages of the Europa League into January.
02:31The matches after each group game, they've got Spurs at home after Matchday 1,
02:36Villa away after Matchday 2, West Ham away after Matchday 3, Leicester at home after Matchday 4,
02:43Everton at home after Matchday 5, Man City away after Matchday 6,
02:48Fulham away after Matchday 7 and Crystal Palace at home after Matchday 8.
02:53You can see all Man United's fixtures for the 24-25 season across all competitions on Manchester World.
