$3.6 billion deficit and social housing feature in 2024-25 budget

The New South Wales government has announced its biggest ever social housing policy committing to provide more than 8000 new and renovated social homes with 3000 to go to women and children fleeing domestic violence. However, the state's budget is also expected to remain billions of dollars in the red over the next few years.
