Romania Stars Celebrate their Biggest-Ever Tournament Win by Leading Chants inside the Stadium

The Romanian national team was seen leading celebrations with a mega-phone after their historic victory at Euro 2024 on Monday afternoon.

Goals from Razvan Marin, Denis Dragus, and Nicolae Stanciu helped wrap up the victory over Ukraine in their Group E opener - which was their biggest-ever win at a major tournament.

Midfielder Stanciu, who plays for Damac FC in Saudi Arabia, got things kick-started with a tremendous strike before they added two more during the second half.

After the full-time whistle, it didn't take long for the party atmosphere to get started inside the Allianz Arena as the first-team players led the celebrations on the pitch.

In a video that appeared on X, star player Ianis Hagi - son of national team legend Gheorghe Hagi - used a megaphone to start one of their chants.

The rest of the players quickly joined in before the fans began serenading the players, who were in jubilant spirits after their historic win.

Tens of thousands of supporters, all decked out in vibrant yellow shirts, packed into the stadium and delivered a wall of noise throughout the pulsating showdown.

Further cementing their legendary status, right back Andrei Ratiu sported a shock of blue hair during the match - although the reason behind the daring look is unknown.

Romania's victory was their first at a European Championship in 24 years.

Their only previous win came in 2000 after they beat England 3-2 in the group stage.

Despite sitting 24 places behind Ukraine in the world rankings and being held to two draws before the tournament, the three points boosted their bid to progress.

They next face Belgium on Saturday.
