Craig Conover Recalls ‘Roller Coaster’ Start to ‘Southern Charm,’ Teases Shep and Austen’s Journeys

00:00Have you seen any, a lot of growth since the reunion with Shep?

00:04Because obviously that was a very emotional reunion for him.

00:06And I'm sure that this upcoming season will explore that dynamic.

00:10But as a friend, have you noticed a lot of growth in him?

00:12Yeah, I think that's going to be a big part of this season,

00:15obviously, which is, which is fun.

00:19You know, we, I think the viewer and us as friends, you know,

00:23we're basically like family, have a lot to look forward to for Shep's future.

00:27But, you know, I've, you know, been on a similar journey.

00:32Mine just started a little before him.

00:34And so I'm happy that I can share my experience with getting healthier

00:39and kind of just, you know, cleaning out my life and finding better habits.

00:45And so it's a journey and you'll get to see part of that journey.

00:49And I think for all of us that, you know, try to drink less

00:56or, you know, have healthier habits like that journey doesn't really end.

00:59But when you find things to take the place of, you know,

01:04like when you find new things to get excited about

01:08or new things to live for that value, I think that's important.

01:11And I'm definitely, you know, Shep was able to come to Nashville with me

01:16and see the new store and and be excited with me for that.

01:20And so I think sharing more of our lives with each other that's outside that,

01:25you know, party scene is more important now than ever.

01:30So it'll you know, I think it'll be exciting to see.

01:35Definitely are dynamics shifting a lot this season.

01:37I know Austin's got a new girlfriend, things like that.

01:40I mean, and we got some new cast members dynamic shifting.

01:43We've got a whole season of Southern Charm for everyone to watch.

01:48And I don't think anyone will be let down.

01:50I think I think what's crazy is I started filming when I was 24.

01:55I'm 36 now.

01:57And so people watch me, you know, grow up through my 20s and 30s.

02:03And it was a roller coaster of a ride.

02:05But to share to continue to share our journey, I think helps people

02:10because it shows them that they're not alone in their

02:14and their craziness and struggles or, you know, we're I think Austin's almost 37.

02:21And, you know, he's figuring out the dating world, you know,

02:24with his girlfriend and, you know, Shep's in his 40s.

02:28So maybe our show is about showing people it's never too late to find love.

02:31I don't know.
