Gordon Ramsay 'lucky' to be alive after horrific bike accident

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay said he was in pain after "a brutal week" after a bruising bike accident left him lucky to be alive.

00:15accident and it really shook me and obviously I'm lucky to be here. Now from

00:24those incredible trauma surgeons doctors nurses in the hospital who looked after me

00:28this week they were amazing but honestly you've got to wear a helmet I don't care

00:34how short the journey is I don't care you know the fact that these helmets

00:39cost money but they're crucial even with the kids a short journey they've got to

00:44wear a helmet. Now I'm lucky to be standing here I'm in pain it's been a

00:47brutal week and I'm sort of getting through it but I cannot tell you the

00:55importance of wearing a helmet.
