00:00Hello guys, it's Adam Monk here from 442 and here is a quick little roundup video for
00:08everything you need to know ahead of Euro 2024.
00:11UEFA have confirmed that squad sizes will increase from 23 players to 26 for Euro 2024.
00:18Nations have successfully argued that the demanding schedule at club level has created
00:22more risk of injury, therefore they've increased the squad size for each team.
00:26The competition will start on June 14th with the group stage and the group stage will end
00:30on June 26th, then the last 16 will go from June 29th to July 2nd.
00:37The quarterfinals will then be played on July 5th and July 6th, then the semi-finals on
00:41July 9th and July 10th and then finally the final will be on July 14th.
00:47The groups will be as follows.
00:49In Group A, Germany, Scotland, Hungary and Switzerland.
00:53In Group B, you've got Spain, Croatia, Italy and Albania, that's a bit of a group of death.

01:02In Group D, you've got Poland, The Netherlands, Austria and France.
01:07In Group E, you've got Belgium, Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine.
01:11And then finally in Group F, you have Turkey, Georgia, Portugal and Czech Republic.
01:17There will be 10 stadiums at use in the tournament in 10 different German cities and those German
01:22cities are Hamburg, Berlin, Leipzig, Dortmund, Gilsakirchen, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Frankfurt,
01:30Stuttgart and finally Munich.
01:33The final will be played in Berlin's Olympiastadion, which was built for the 1936 Olympics of course
01:38and that stadium has previously hosted games at the 1974 and 2006 World Cups as well, including
01:44the 2006 World Cup Final.
01:47The official match ball for Euro 2024 is manufactured by Adidas and is called the Fussballiber,
01:53if I've pronounced that right, which means the love of football in German.
01:57The ball features a striking design which Adidas have claimed represents the movement
02:01of the ball and the energy of the game through prominent black wing shapes accentuated with
02:06colourful edges, curves and dots.
02:09The ball will also include a sensor which will help VAR with semi-automated offside
02:14decisions while also providing 500 pieces of data a second to detect when the ball is
02:19or crucially isn't touched.
02:22And following a vote conducted among uefa.com users and school children across Europe, the
02:27mascot for the competition will be Alba the bear.
02:30Isn't he cute?
02:31Look at him.
