Brown bear looking for food falls asleep on top of fence after getting stuck

This is the hilarious moment a dozy brown bear fell asleep and needed rescuing while it was stuck on a fence.The brown bear tried to climb over the six-foot-high chain link fence to find food but found itself trapped while crossing over into the community in the Gurez Valley in Kashmir, India, on June 14.Footage shows the bear appearing to take a nap as wildlife rescuers called for backup to shift the 200-lb animal to safety.Tanveer Ahmed, Wildlife Range Officer Bandipora, said officials later reached the location and successfully rescued the bear without causing it any harm.He added: 'The rescued brown bear was released into a secure location.'Residents said the bears approach tourist camps where they can occasionally find food in the rubbish.The brown bear, Ursus arctos, is a large carnivorous mammal found across North America, Europe, and Asia. These bears have a diverse diet, ranging from plants and berries to fish and small mammals, and they are also renowned for their impressive strength and adaptability to various habitats.They are classified as 'least concern' in the IUCN Red List.
