00:00Yesterday, former President Trump returned, had his meetings with House Republicans and
00:10Senate Republicans.
00:11You were there on January 6th.
00:14You were huddled, as was all of them who were in the chamber at the time, in safety from
00:21the insurrectionists.
00:22What was it like for you personally to see some of these people that you saw that day
00:28come back and greet Trump as a conquering hero on the way back?
00:36It was shameful and a complete embarrassment that my three Republican colleagues decided
00:41to welcome the insurrectionist in chief back to the Capitol as a conquering hero, not someone
00:53We lied about the 2020 presidential election and incited a violent mob to attack the Capitol
01:00in order to halt the peaceful transfer of power.
01:07The Republican Party no longer exists in its traditional form.
01:13This is the Trump Party, and it's not focused on solving problems for the American people.
01:23It is focused singularly on doing the bidding of Donald Trump.
01:34And there is no bottom.
01:37There is no low.
01:42There is no value that the extreme right-wing Republicans aren't willing to abandon in service
01:52of Donald Trump, and that's very unfortunate, but they're going to have to defend this approach
02:00that they've taken over the next several months in advance of November before the American
02:09people.
02:11The fate of this country and the fate of our democracy, the fate of reproductive freedom,
02:15the fate of Social Security, the fate of Medicare, the fate of the Affordable Care Act are in
02:23the hands of the American people.
