00:00Going back to the Supreme Court for a second, another decision that could come around the
00:05corner any moment has to do with the Chevron test, and depending on what the Supreme Court
00:11decides there, that could change how specific Congress has to be with respect to what it
00:16delegates to regulatory bodies and what isn't.
00:19Have you given any thought to how that might change the job of Congress here, and how big
00:23of a change would that be in your view?
00:26To the extent that the Chevron doctrine is undermined or eliminated, it will provide
00:31another example of the MAGA extremist movement, including on the United States Supreme Court,
00:39trying to jam their right-wing ideology down the throats of the American people, often
00:44in an undemocratic fashion, as opposed to allowing the elected representatives of the
00:52people of this country, in partnership with the elected administration, to enact public
01:00policy.
01:03We are witnessing significant judicial overreach, led by right-wing extremists on the Supreme
01:14Court.
01:15And the American people rejected, one of the reasons why Democrats, in election after election
01:27after election, since the fall of Roe v. Wade in 2022, are winning, winning, and over-performing,
01:42as was the case in Ohio, when the Democratic Party didn't even contest the race in the
01:54most recent special election.
01:55And yet we saw a 26-point over-performance by a Democratic candidate who spent $25,000
02:06against a well-known Republican state senator who spent over $700,000.
02:13And it was the most recent of many examples of what is likely to come in November.
