A rally was held in Sheffield to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the 'Battle of Orgreave' and celebrating the Miners' Strike of 1984.

00:41it was a complete and utter um i mean i would talk about a riot at the end of it the beginning part
00:47uh very early in the morning when the police came out and stormed us it was a free for all
00:52on behalf of the police i mean they battened everybody that they could see um i myself was
00:58hit in the face i still got a scar on my right lip from where i was hitting the face
01:02i mean they went absolutely rampant
01:16i would love to think the police have changed and i think in many maybe in many instances
01:30they have um or some people have acknowledgement an apology what is important to our campaign is
01:38that due to the aging health of many miners we quickly secure a public acknowledgement of why
01:45and what the state does to the miners of that community
