Shadow Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds denies the Labour Party of 2024 looks like the Conservative Party under David Cameron's leadership. When asked whether the two parties are similar Reynolds says, “I really disagree on that”. He continues saying, “A Labour platform which is pro-business and pro-worker is about better living standards, better public services, it's about breaking out of the stagnation of the last 14 years.”

00:00No, I really disagree on that. The Labour platform, which is pro-business and pro-worker,
00:05is about better living standards, better public services. It's about breaking out of the
00:09stagnation of the last 14 years, and that's something that every part of the UK needs.
00:15We need higher business investment in the UK. The response from business leaders to
00:18Labour's manifesto, I think it's an incredible endorsement of the plans that we have put
00:23forward. But of course, there are big parts of our programme, for instance on stronger
00:26employment rights and better public services, that are about people getting the benefits
00:31of that growth. And I think when I look back at the conversations I've had as the Shadow
00:34Business Secretary for the last few years, I know what is necessary to get this country
00:39moving again.
