00:00The people of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority conducted an operation in the city of Malabon

00:07to address the possible flooding caused by the rain.

00:16The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, MFDA, is carrying out various services in the barangay of Malabon City today.

00:23This includes declaring drainage, placing signage, misting contra dengue, and trimming of trees.

00:30This is part of the barangay program of the agency,

00:34where they will try to address the possible flooding, especially during the rainy season.

00:39When we clean, among others, the canals,

00:44it is important for the water to reach our pumping stations.

00:49If the pump is not strong enough, if the water does not reach the pump, it will result in flooding.

00:55The MFDA will also launch the Cleanliness and Recycling Program,

00:59where they will buy trucks for all local government units in Metro Manila.

01:04The target is to collect the garbage that was thrown in the right place.

01:08The damaged navigational gates in Navotas are also being built to avoid flooding.
