00:00 Ryan a good performance by the Netherlands you gave a really good fight at one stage
00:05 Especially when the chairs was on it seemed that you're very much the favorites
00:09 I think the win percentage was heavily loaded towards you towards the back end of the innings
00:14 Maybe the Bangladesh experience and the quality of the bowling lineup that kind of came through tell us about the chairs a bit
00:21 As I said earlier, it seemed that you were bossing it before unfortunately losing the plot a bit
00:27 Yeah, I think probably on that wicket and assessing it when both teams have batted
00:31 They probably got a few too many runs there a couple too many big overs and this led to a chase that was always going
00:36 To be challenging especially at the back end with some of the experienced bowlers as you mentioned
00:41 having said that we put ourselves in a good position with a good partnership with Scott and and cyber and and
00:46 You know with 49 to win off the last five overs. We're confident that would be able to chase those down
00:51 Obviously, I've been in the other dressing room when mr. Fizz has been bowling those balls and
00:56 Watching guys string and miss so to watch it from the other side now is is a bit tougher
01:01 But no the guys will obviously take a lot of experience away from that and it is something that we prepared for just weren't able
01:06 to execute on the day generally as you just mentioned 49 of the last five over a lot of teams a lot of
01:11 Everyone would perhaps be backing their batting team that has been trend in t20 cricket over the years
01:17 Maybe the trend is quite not the same here. We have seen teams defending even
01:22 Runs which are maybe lower than like in terms of more balls and less runs get a lot of teams have prevailed
01:27 So perhaps the trend here is different eight to ten runs
01:31 If the ask is in the last five six overs is perhaps not that straightforward
01:35 Absolutely. I've just been at the RPL where you know, it's two runs a ball
01:39 It's kind of where you want to try and get it to as the bowling team and you kind of feel even then that sometimes
01:44 You know, it's it's that you're under pressure in this tournament. It might be different in these conditions. It might be different as well
01:50 Yeah, but we set the run chase up pretty much exactly like we wanted to we thought we could probably get those runs off the
01:55 Last five overs but you know credit to fizz and all the other bowlers who bowled really well
01:59 Use the conditions well, and obviously us losing wickets never helped the momentum and too many dot balls at the end
02:05 On wicket that has proven to be quite lively
02:10 Your bowlers when the bowl the short ball cause a bit of a problem, but then they went bowling ball full and got whacked
02:20 Was it a case of being too anxious to prove a point or was it lack of experience?
02:26 Not I think either I think you know when we sort of go and do the debrief of that game
02:33 I think our plans were in place
02:34 You know
02:35 We do a lot of research and we're very prepared for each individual better that we come up against and we would have known some of
02:40 Those plans we didn't do some of those plans today and unfortunately that wasn't down to execution. That's probably down to decision-making
02:48 Yes, obviously we want to try and execute the ball in the right place every single time and you know
02:52 There is going to be times where you don't execute the guys will probably be quite disappointed that the plans that we put in place
02:57 weren't maybe
02:58 Gone to rather than sort of what we did out on the field there today
03:02 You're traveling to St. Lucia for a game on the 16th on another fast bouncy wicket
03:08 Will today's game prepare you for such a wicket?
03:14 Yeah, I think all the wickets have been different in this tournament. So, you know, it's trying to assess and trying to adapt on each condition
03:20 We know sort of a little bit of the research around the ground and we'll speak to the locals in terms of what we need
03:26 To prepare we've got a full squad of you know
03:29 Really skilled players who were able to adjust to any conditions and we can play extra bowlers
03:33 Or extra spinners depending on what we need and obviously extra batters if required as well
03:37 So I think we are well set up to be balanced in that department a lot can still have in this group
03:43 what are the thoughts on the game against Sri Lanka and
03:45 What all to look forward to from an evidence perspective?
03:48 Yeah, I think obviously there's there's a lot on the line
03:51 You know
03:52 We'll have to obviously take some net run rate into account now and be hoping for some other results to go our way
03:57 At the end of the day we can't control that
03:59 We just got to go and play a really good game of cricket against Sri Lanka
04:02 We'll take some real pride in the fact that we beat them in the warm-up game and we've come close to them on several occasions
04:07 In the last year or so
04:09 So I think it'll be a good game of cricket between you know
04:11 Two very good teams and yeah, we're gonna be putting our best foot forward
04:14 Final question cricket coming to st. Vincent after a very long time nearly 14 15 years and we saw
04:20 Quite a few orange shirts in the crowd also
04:22 So overall, how was it to bring back international cricket being a catalyst for that and also the kind of support that you got here
04:30 Now I've been to the West Indies a few times, but I've never been here and what a magnificent place st
04:35 Vincent is great people and you know, really hospitable be very generous with us and you know
04:41 The conditions make for good cricket. So yeah, hopefully there'll be more cricket played here in the future
04:46 Thank You Ryan. Thank you everybody
