RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat came down heavily on both the ruling party and the opposition and reminded them of the ‘decorum’ of the electoral battle. Bhagwat's remarks, timed just after Modi's third term oath, highlight concerns over BJP's performance and social division. He emphasized mutual respect for differing opinions, and urgent action to address the ongoing riots in Manipur.

00:00Just a day after Narendra Modi took oath for the third time as the Prime Minister,
00:04RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat criticised Modi's poll campaign. Defining sevak,
00:10the head of BJP's ideological parent organisation said,
00:13Welcome to Deep Dive with Outlook. Today we will be addressing Mohan Bhagwat's recent public
00:33address. Mohan Bhagwat's comments are directly related to the Prime Minister. The emphasis on
00:39arrogance comes when the BJP fell short of majority. All while, Charso Paar was the party's
00:46slogan in the election. The party alone barely managed to get 240 seats. In fact, for the first
00:53time in the last two decades, PM Modi shied away from referring himself in third person.
00:58While media is calling it Modi 3.0, the Prime Minister gave credit to the NGA coalition
01:04while addressing karyakartas on June 5. RSS has been considered the foundational base of
01:09the BJP. But political analysts suggest the on-ground cadre did not even work for the party
01:15with much gusto. The timing of Mohan Bhagwat's speech is what is most intriguing. Among other
01:21things, Bhagwat called for immediate action in Manipur to tackle the ongoing riots. It has been
01:27more than a year since the riots started. He says they are still waiting for change.
01:33The question is, why did RSS not speak about these issues before, as the violence began
01:39almost a year ago? Bhagwat also mentioned that dignity was not maintained during the campaigns.
01:46He said, no one cares about social division being created because of what is being shown.
01:51It is not only Mohan Bhagwat who has come heavily on the BJP. RSS mouthpiece, Organiser,
01:58in one of its pieces written by Ratan Sharda, stated targets are achieved by hard work on the
02:04field, not sharing posters and selfies on social media.
