South Kesteven District Council have produced a video to promote Market Place in Grantham.

00:00Welcome to Grantham, a town centre that's open for business.

00:03All our shops, markets and local businesses are trading as normal during the current roadworks

00:08in and around the marketplace. There is plenty of car parking with an easy walking distance of

00:12the town centre, some of it under a minute away, and in total there are around a thousand council

00:18parking spaces available every day. There's pedestrian access to all areas and a warm

00:23welcome assured from everyone living and working here. The marketplace refurbishment is possible

00:27thanks to nearly two million pounds of government money to make the area safe for pedestrians by

00:32creating a single level open space for our markets and events. With the welcome reopening of the

00:38Conduit Lane public toilets alongside events and family entertainment on market days throughout the

00:43roadworks period, the work is part of a larger five and a half million pound investment in

00:47Grantham Town Centre through the Future High Streets Fund, work which includes further

00:51highway improvements for the station approach and helping create new homes above shops in the town

00:57centre. So please support your local businesses, they're here to support you as Grantham is well
